Election – PM Modi Connects with BJP Cadres Ahead of Tamil Nadu Polls
Election – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to engage directly with Bharatiya Janata Party workers across Tamil Nadu through a video conference scheduled for Monday at 4 p.m. The interaction forms part of a broader effort to strengthen the party’s grassroots network as the state prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Digital Outreach to Strengthen Booth-Level Network
The interaction will take place via the NaMo App, where booth-level party workers have been invited to participate after completing a registration process. The initiative is designed to connect leadership with workers at the ground level, ensuring better coordination and communication during a crucial phase of campaigning.
In a message shared a day earlier, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for party workers in Tamil Nadu, highlighting their role in raising governance-related issues and presenting the alliance’s development plans. He also confirmed his participation in the “My Polling Booth, Strong Polling Booth Consultation” programme, where he intends to exchange ideas with party members.
Extensive Participation Expected from Party Workers
According to internal party estimates, the BJP has built a wide organisational network in Tamil Nadu, with nearly five lakh booth committee members. All of them have been encouraged to join the virtual interaction, reflecting the party’s focus on strengthening its electoral machinery at the booth level.
Party leaders view this initiative as a timely move to energise workers and maintain momentum as election activities intensify across the state. With polling day approaching, such direct engagement is expected to boost morale and reinforce campaign strategies.
Intensified Campaigning Across Political Parties
The political atmosphere in Tamil Nadu has become increasingly active, with major parties stepping up their campaign efforts. Senior leaders from various parties are travelling extensively, addressing rallies and meeting voters in different constituencies.
The Chief Minister and leaders of other major political formations are also actively campaigning, signalling a competitive and closely watched election. The heightened activity reflects the importance of the upcoming polls for all stakeholders.
Prime Minister’s Upcoming Campaign Visits
As part of the campaign push, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu later this week for a two-day tour. During this visit, he will address a public meeting in Nagercoil on April 15, followed by another large gathering in Coimbatore on April 18.
The Coimbatore event is expected to draw significant attention, particularly because of its relevance to the Kongu region, which holds political importance in the state. Candidates from the alliance are likely to participate, making it a key moment in the campaign.
Senior Leaders Join the Campaign Trail
In addition to the Prime Minister’s outreach, other senior leaders have also intensified their presence in Tamil Nadu. Party officials are organising public meetings and internal discussions to fine-tune campaign strategies.
A senior party leader is expected to attend a public event in Gandharvakottai, followed by participation in a booth committee meeting in Thanjavur. These engagements are aimed at strengthening coordination and providing direction to local workers.
National Leadership Likely to Step In
The campaign is expected to gain further momentum with the anticipated visits of top national leaders in the coming days. Plans are being finalised for additional rallies and public engagements, which are likely to involve key figures from the central leadership.
Several Union ministers are also expected to visit the state, contributing to the alliance’s efforts to reach a wider audience and reinforce its campaign message.
High-Stakes Contest Approaches
With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections drawing closer, the political landscape is witnessing intense activity from all sides. Campaign strategies are being sharpened, alliances are being tested, and voter outreach efforts are being expanded.
The coming days are likely to see further escalation in campaign efforts, setting the stage for a significant electoral contest that will be closely followed across the country.
