CUETPG – NTA Releases Advance Exam City Details for Upcoming Tests
CUETPG – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the advance exam city information for students who will appear in the Common University Entrance Test for postgraduate programmes. Candidates scheduled to take the CUET PG examination on March 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 27 can now check the city assigned for their test by logging into the official examination portal.

Advance city slip released for upcoming CUET PG exam dates
In its official notice, the NTA clarified that the recently issued document is only an advance exam city intimation slip. This slip informs candidates about the city where their examination centre will be located, allowing them to plan their travel and accommodation in advance.
However, the agency stressed that this document should not be mistaken for the admit card. The admit cards, which will contain detailed information such as the exact examination centre, reporting time and exam guidelines, will be released separately closer to the examination date.
Students are advised to regularly check the official website to download the city slip and stay updated about the release of their admit cards.
Thousands of candidates appearing in multiple exam shifts
The testing agency also shared participation figures from the ongoing examination cycle. According to the update, nearly 59,300 candidates appeared for the CUET PG examination conducted on Thursday across various centres in India. The test was organised in three different shifts to accommodate the large number of applicants.
Earlier sessions of the examination also witnessed strong participation. Around 8,900 candidates took the exam held on March 9, while approximately 1,08,700 students appeared for the test conducted on March 8.
The staggered schedule and multiple shifts are part of the agency’s efforts to ensure smooth conduct of the nationwide examination while managing the high volume of candidates.
Several subject examinations already completed
The National Testing Agency confirmed that examinations for a number of subjects have already been successfully conducted. These include Statistics, Mathematics, Criminology, Agriculture Science, English and B.Ed programmes.
Candidates who appeared in these subject tests have completed their respective examinations under the ongoing CUET PG schedule. The remaining examinations will continue as planned on the upcoming dates.
Officials said that the examination process is being carried out at centres across the country under standard guidelines to maintain fairness, transparency and proper management of the large-scale testing process.
National entrance test for postgraduate admissions
The Common University Entrance Test for postgraduate courses serves as a national-level entrance examination for admission to a wide range of postgraduate programmes in universities across India.
Through this exam, students can apply for postgraduate courses offered by central universities, state universities, deemed universities and several private institutions that participate in the CUET PG admission process.
The examination was introduced to create a unified admission platform for higher education institutions and to provide students with a single, standardised test for postgraduate admissions.
With the exam currently underway, candidates appearing in the upcoming sessions are encouraged to check their allotted exam city in advance and monitor official announcements regarding admit cards and other important updates.
