Shweta Tripathi: After finishing filming the film adaption of “Mirzapur,” actress Shweta Tripathi said that she would always be thankful for the voice, power, and identity that her role as Golu Gupta has given her.

“Wrapping up the film in Mumbai for Mirzapur: The Movie feels incredibly special and emotional,” Shweta told IANS as she discussed finishing the schedule. I will always be thankful to Golu Gupta for giving me a voice, a sense of power, and an identity.
According to the actress, the role really altered how viewers saw her and “the kind of stories I get to be a part of.”
It’s thrilling and rewarding to bring Mirzapur to the big screen because of how much people like this setting and these characters. Stepping back into Golu’s shoes and reuniting with the cast—especially Ali Fazal, who is like family—was like returning home, but with a fresh dimension and vitality. I’m very excited for people to see this part of Mirzapur in theaters,” she said.
The original cast of the series, including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Shweta Tripathi, and Shriya Pilgaonkar, are reunited in “Mirzapur: The Movie.” Excel Entertainment is the production company and Gurmeet Singh is the director.
