TN Governor : has made significant security precautions for his five-day visit to Ooty
TN Governor: Extensive security measures have been implemented across the hill area in preparation for Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi’s five-day visit to the Nilgiris.
The visit follows a two-day meeting of Vice-Chancellors of State Universities on April 25 and 26 at Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan) in Ooty, which was chaired by the Governor and focused on improving higher education’s quality and reforms.
The governor had originally intended to go to Ooty earlier this month, but for administrative reasons, the trip was postponed.
On Tuesday, he started traveling again, taking a road trip from Rameswaram to Coimbatore. Around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Governor Ravi arrived at the Government Guest House on Race Course Road in Coimbatore, where he spent the night. The Governor left by road this morning at approximately 7 a.m. and is expected to arrive at Lok Bhavan in Ooty, where he will spend the duration of his visit.
He is anticipated to engage in casual conversations and visit a few spots in and around the hill town while he is there.
The visit is mostly formal, according to sources, although the governor is also anticipated to spend time with family.
As per the schedule, Governor Ravi is scheduled to depart Ooty at around 5 a.m. on Friday and proceed by road to Coimbatore. From there, he would take a plane to Chennai to attend formal events. On the third of the month, he is expected to return to Coimbatore and travel by road to Ooty.
On January 4, he would fly back to Chennai from Coimbatore after finishing the last engagements. Extensive security measures have been implemented throughout Ooty and along the roads in anticipation of the governor’s arrival.
To provide unwavering security, more than 500 police officers have been sent in, with a particular emphasis on crowd control, route security, and traffic control.
To make sure the visit goes well, senior police personnel are supervising the plans. The Nilgiris district has taken notice of the visit, and officials are keeping a close eye on things during the governor’s visit.
