Ramya Krishnan: For the first time “finally” saw “Padayappa” at a theater

Ramya Krishnan: Veteran actress Ramya Krishnan said that she just saw her classic 1999 movie Padayappa for the first time in a theater.

The actress shared a video from the theater on Instagram. Years after its premiere, she acknowledged her happiness and amazement at seeing the Rajinikanth film on the big screen.

“I finally saw PADAYAPPA in the theater for the first time,” she wrote.

K. S. Ravikumar is the director of the 1999 action drama film “Padayappa,” which is in Tamil.

Rajinikanth plays the title role, while Sivaji Ganesan appears in his last film. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Soundarya, Lakshmi, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Abbas, Sithara, and Preetha.

The movie centers on the titular character and his family becoming the subject of a generational retaliation by his narcissistic cousin Neelambari, who was humiliated when Padayappa turned down her love proposal because he was in love with her kind-hearted housekeeper Vasundhara.

At that time, it became the highest-grossing movie in Tamil cinema. Ramya received a lot of applause for her performance. Additionally, the movie took home five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

The Malayalam movie Neram Pularumbol marked the beginning of Ramya’s acting career. In the Hindi movie Dayavan, which featured veteran Vinod Khanna, she had a little part. Her debut came from films directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, including Major Chandrakanth, Alludugaru, and Allari Mogudu.

In the movie Annamayya, she portrayed Sri Annamacharya’s loving wife.Mangalyam Tantunanena and Gadibidi Ganda are two of her greatest Kannada songs.

With Yash Chopra’s Parampara, Ramya made her Hindi film debut as a heroine. She appeared in a few more Hindi films, such as Shapath with Mithun Chakraborty, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, David Dhawan’s Banarasi Babu, Mahesh Bhatt’s Chaahat, and Subhash Ghai’s Khalnayak.
