“No passenger or crew injuries were recorded, and all emergency services were called in ahead of time. Both right-side tires had ruptured, according to a post-landing check, a CIAL official stated.

A malfunction in the right main landing gear caused Air India Express flight IX 398 to be diverted to Kochi as a precaution, according to Cochin International Airport Limited. The runway was cleared and reopened for regular operations after the aircraft made a successful landing under full emergency circumstances at 9:07 am.

Because officials made sure the issue was handled securely and effectively, there was no further interruption to planned flights as a result of the event.

In a different incident, on December 12, an IndiGo plane was hit in the tail on landing at Ranchi airport. At the time of the event, there were around 70 passengers on the Bhubaneswar–Ranchi aircraft.

Vinod Kumar, the director of Ranchi airport, told PTI that passengers were suddenly startled when the plane’s tail hit the ground while landing. All passengers, however, were uninjured and safe.

The aircraft was deemed technically unsuitable for flight and grounded following the incident. Following the cancellation of its planned return flight from Ranchi to Bhubaneswar, some passengers chose to postpone or cancel their travel plans, while others were driven to Bhubaneswar.
