Around 8:30 p.m., a fire broke out on the second level of the LIC building, which is across the Madurai Railway Junction. According to The Hindu, Mr. Ram was an administrative officer and Kalyani Nambi was the branch’s senior manager.

According to reports, the ambulance and firefighter arrived on the site after receiving the call at about 8:40 p.m. To put out the fire, three firefighters were sent to the spot. The incident’s precise cause is still being looked at, however.

“I arrived at precisely 8:45 p.m. to take money out of the ATM. I went upstairs right away after learning that there was a fire on the top level. A person with burn injuries emerged when I shattered the glass door. I phoned an ambulance and reported the fire to the police. The wounded individual informed me there was a lady upstairs when he got downstairs, but it was too late. An eyewitness named Manikandan told the news agency ANI that she would have been spared if he had informed her a little sooner.
