Viral Video : Mumbai Security Guard Attacked by Dog Near School Gate
Viral Video: On Thursday morning, a stray dog unexpectedly attacked a security officer outside a school entrance in Goregaon West, Mumbai, injuring him. A CCTV camera captured the event, which happened at about 9.40 am on December 11, and the video has since gone popular on social media.

Two stray dogs are seen loitering inside the building as the guard passes through the gate in the footage. One of the dogs comes up to him a little while later. The dog leaps at the guard and bites his left shoulder as he turns to face the door. After a few seconds of battling, the guard is able to use his free hand to pull the dog away. Then, as the animal runs away, a second guard rushes in to help with a stick.

“The Goat Effect”: At three in the morning, fans in Kolkata gather on the streets to greet Messi, causing chaos.
Residents’ worries about the safety of pedestrians passing through the neighborhood and the increasing hostility of stray dogs have been rekindled by the incident. Online conversations reveal growing anxiety, and officials have yet to provide an official reaction.
The tragedy occurs at a time when Maharashtra has recorded over 30 lakh dog bite incidences in the last six years, or around 1,369 instances per day on average. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed the state parliament on Wednesday that 30 individuals had died from rabies between 2021 and 2023, highlighting an increase in incidence in both urban and rural areas.
He was responding to a query from Sunil Prabhu, an MLA for the Shiv Sena (UBT), who voiced concern over the growing number of stray dogs in big cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Kalyan-Dombivli. Shinde said that in response to orders from the government in March, the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023, are currently being implemented across the state.
