Recruitment Drive – Uttar Pradesh Government Announces Jobs and Major Development Push
Recruitment Drive – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said appointment letters would be handed over to newly selected candidates through what he described as a transparent and merit-driven recruitment process managed by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.

Appointment Letters for Multiple Departments
According to the Chief Minister, the recruitment initiative will benefit candidates selected for several state departments. These include Professors, Readers, Medical Officers, and Staff Nurses associated with the AYUSH Department, along with instructors chosen for the Vocational Education Department. Candidates appointed as Nurses, Hostel Wardens, and Compounders under the Divyangjan Empowerment Department will also receive their joining documents during the programme in Lucknow.
In a message shared on social media platform X, Yogi Adityanath stated that the selected candidates are beginning a new phase of public service through a process aimed at ensuring fairness and accountability in government recruitment. He highlighted that the state administration is focused on creating employment opportunities while maintaining transparency in the selection system.
Development Projects Worth Over ₹2,000 Crore in Saharanpur
Following the recruitment event in Lucknow, the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend a major public programme in Saharanpur where development projects valued at approximately ₹2,131 crore will be launched. The event will include both inauguration ceremonies and foundation stone laying for hundreds of infrastructure and welfare-related works across the region.
Officials said around 325 projects are part of the initiative. The programme will also involve the distribution of certificates and benefits to eligible beneficiaries under various government welfare schemes. These projects are expected to support urban infrastructure, public facilities, and social welfare measures in the district.
Government Highlights Youth Employment and Governance Reforms
While speaking about the initiatives, Yogi Adityanath said the state government is working simultaneously on employment generation and infrastructure growth. He remarked that young people in Uttar Pradesh are receiving fresh opportunities through merit-based recruitment while large-scale development projects are helping accelerate economic progress in the state.
The Chief Minister also referred to recent remarks he made during another appointment letter distribution ceremony held in Lucknow earlier this month. During that programme, linked to the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, he criticised recruitment practices followed by previous administrations.
Remarks on Earlier Recruitment Systems
Addressing newly selected candidates on May 3, the Chief Minister alleged that earlier recruitment procedures were affected by corruption, favouritism, and bribery. He claimed that political influence and financial dealings had previously damaged the credibility of government hiring in the state.
Yogi Adityanath stated that his administration has attempted to reform the system by promoting transparent selection methods and reducing irregularities in appointments. He further said honest governance and clean recruitment practices are necessary to strengthen public trust in state institutions.
The Chief Minister additionally remarked that Uttar Pradesh’s earlier reputation as a “BIMARU” state was connected to issues such as corruption, administrative discrimination, and weak governance structures. According to him, reforms introduced in recent years are aimed at improving both administrative efficiency and development outcomes across the state.
