MSME – Uttar Pradesh Unveils New Entrepreneur Support and Development Projects
MSME – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a series of initiatives on Saturday to mark International MSME Day, highlighting the state’s continued focus on entrepreneurship, youth employment, and economic self-reliance. The programme, scheduled in Noida, will combine the launch of new development projects with financial assistance and support for beneficiaries linked to various government schemes aimed at strengthening the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector.

Noida to Host UP International Trade Show Curtain Raiser
The event in Gautam Buddha Nagar will begin with the curtain raiser for the fourth edition of the U.P. International Trade Show (UPITS). During the programme, beneficiaries associated with the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and the Vishwakarma Labour Honour Scheme will receive toolkits designed to help them strengthen their businesses and improve employment opportunities. Financial support will also be extended through subsidy cheques for eligible MSME units and technology upgradation schemes, while selected beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign will receive financial assistance.
The Chief Minister also announced that bankers who have made significant contributions in supporting MSME financing would be recognised for their outstanding work during the ceremony.
Development Projects Worth Thousands of Crores
Alongside the MSME-focused programmes, Yogi Adityanath said the government will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 70 development projects in Noida. Among the major projects is the new administrative headquarters of the Noida Authority in Sector-96, which is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹2,479 crore.
According to the Chief Minister, these infrastructure projects are expected to strengthen urban development while supporting investment, industrial expansion, and improved public services. He described the initiatives as another step toward building a self-reliant and economically stronger Uttar Pradesh with greater opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses.
Government Highlights Focus on Self-Reliance
In a message shared on social media, Yogi Adityanath said International MSME Day provides an opportunity to reinforce the state’s commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship and empowering young people through employment and business opportunities. He added that the combination of financial support, infrastructure development, and industrial promotion reflects the government’s broader vision for long-term economic growth across the state.
Delhi Chief Minister Extends International MSME Day Greetings
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also marked International MSME Day by extending her greetings to entrepreneurs and individuals working in the MSME sector. She described Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as one of the strongest pillars of India’s economy, noting that the sector plays a vital role in creating jobs, encouraging innovation, and supporting the country’s long-term development goals.
In her social media message, Gupta acknowledged the contribution of business owners and workers who continue to strengthen the country’s manufacturing and service sectors through their efforts.
Centre’s Policies Receive Appreciation
Rekha Gupta further credited the Union Government for introducing measures that have helped strengthen the MSME ecosystem in recent years. She said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several initiatives aimed at supporting small businesses have accelerated economic growth while encouraging self-reliance across different sectors.
She added that continued policy support for MSMEs remains important for sustaining employment generation, promoting innovation, and advancing India’s vision of becoming a developed nation.
