Governance – Yogi Adityanath Assures Swift Help During Gorakhpur Public Hearing
Governance – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday personally interacted with citizens during a public outreach session known as ‘Janta Darshan’ in Gorakhpur, where he addressed a wide range of concerns and assured prompt administrative action.

Immediate Support for Ailing Child
During the session held at the Gorakhnath Temple premises, a woman from Shravasti approached the Chief Minister seeking urgent assistance for her critically ill child. After hearing her situation, Adityanath assured her that the government would ensure uninterrupted medical care. He instructed officials to facilitate the issuance of an Ayushman Card for the family, enabling access to healthcare benefits under the scheme.
He also directed authorities to provide additional financial support from the state’s discretionary fund. Emphasising urgency, he asked officials to prepare an estimate of the treatment expenses and submit it to the government so that necessary aid could be released without delay.
Directions to Expedite Administrative Process
Taking swift action, the Chief Minister accepted the woman’s written request and ordered that it be immediately forwarded to the District Magistrate of Shravasti. He stressed that the process for issuing the Ayushman Card should be completed at the earliest to avoid any disruption in the child’s treatment.
Officials were also instructed to maintain close coordination to ensure that both financial assistance and medical support reach the family in a timely manner.
Listening to Public Concerns
The ‘Janta Darshan’ saw participation from nearly 200 individuals, each presenting their grievances directly to the Chief Minister. Moving through the gathering near the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan, Adityanath listened carefully to each person, collected written applications, and issued immediate instructions to concerned departments.
The interaction covered a broad spectrum of issues, including healthcare needs, administrative delays, law enforcement concerns, and land disputes.
Assurance of Timely and Fair Resolution
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reassured citizens that their concerns would be handled efficiently. He emphasised that the government remains committed to resolving issues in a transparent and time-bound manner.
He directed administrative and police officials to ensure that every complaint is addressed fairly, without bias, and within a defined timeline. According to him, effective governance depends on responsiveness and accountability at every level.
Strict Action Against Crime and Encroachment
Responding to complaints related to criminal activities and land encroachment, Adityanath instructed law enforcement agencies to take firm action against offenders. He highlighted the need for maintaining law and order with strict vigilance and warned against any leniency toward individuals involved in illegal activities.
Officials were asked to act decisively against land mafias and ensure that rightful ownership is protected. The Chief Minister reiterated that public safety and property rights remain key priorities for the state administration.
Continued Focus on Public Outreach
The ‘Janta Darshan’ initiative continues to serve as a platform for direct communication between the government and citizens, allowing grievances to be heard without intermediaries. Such interactions are aimed at strengthening trust in governance and ensuring that administrative processes remain accessible to all.
