DowryDeath – A disturbing post-mortem report in the Greater Noida dowry death case has revealed that 24-year-old Deepika Nagar suffered several severe injuries before her death, raising further questions about the circumstances leading to the tragedy. Medical findings point to both external wounds and critical internal damage, suggesting that the young woman endured intense physical trauma before she died.

Autopsy Findings Point to Severe Physical Trauma

According to the medical examination, Deepika’s body showed multiple injuries across different parts, including swelling on the face, wounds on the lower abdomen and back, and marks on the arms and chest. Doctors also found a serious injury on her left knee that extended deep enough to expose bone tissue.

The report further mentioned a large bluish contusion on her right thigh measuring nearly 38 centimeters in length. In addition, bleeding was detected from her left ear, while deep abrasion marks were present around the left side of the chest and abdomen.

Internal examination revealed critical injuries involving the brain and spleen. Doctors identified blood clotting in sections of the brain along with internal bleeding. The report also confirmed rupture of the spleen, a condition commonly associated with major impact or heavy trauma.

Police Examining Allegations Raised by Family

The autopsy findings have become a key part of the investigation being carried out by Greater Noida Police. Officials are now comparing the medical evidence with statements given by Deepika’s family members, who accused her husband and in-laws of repeated harassment linked to dowry demands.

A police case was registered after Deepika allegedly jumped from the third floor of a building in Jalpura village. Her relatives claimed she had been facing continuous mental pressure and physical abuse since her marriage nearly one and a half years ago.

Investigators are expected to examine whether the injuries mentioned in the report were connected to prolonged abuse or were caused immediately before the fatal incident.

Family Alleges Escalating Dowry Demands

Deepika’s parents alleged that substantial gifts and cash were provided during her wedding, including around Rs 10 lakh, jewellery, and a car. However, according to the family, the demands from her husband’s side allegedly continued even after the marriage.

They claimed that the family later demanded an SUV along with Rs 50 lakh in cash. Relatives alleged that the pressure over these demands created an environment of constant harassment for Deepika.

Family members also stated that she frequently informed them about the mental stress she was facing at her matrimonial home. These allegations are now being reviewed alongside the medical report and witness statements collected during the investigation.

Growing Concern Over Dowry-Linked Violence

The incident has once again drawn attention to dowry-related violence and abuse cases reported across different parts of the country. Legal experts note that post-mortem findings often become crucial evidence in cases involving suspicious deaths within marriage.

Police officials have not yet released a final conclusion regarding the sequence of events that led to Deepika’s death. Authorities are continuing to question those connected to the case while gathering forensic and testimonial evidence.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further legal action is expected based on the outcome of the inquiry and forensic examination.
