Development – Naidu Returns to Amaravati After Major Southern Andhra Tour
Development – Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to return to Amaravati on Monday after completing a week-long visit to Nellore, Tirupati, Kadapa and Chittoor districts. The tour included the launch of welfare measures, industrial projects, rural development programmes and infrastructure works linked to the state government’s Swarna Andhra 2047 roadmap.

After reaching Amaravati, Naidu is expected to resume official reviews at the Secretariat in Velagapudi. Key discussions are likely to focus on the Real Time Governance Society and proposed development strategies for the Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati Economic Regions.
Welfare Support Highlighted in Nellore
During his visit to Nellore, the Chief Minister distributed social security pensions under the Pedala Sevalo programme. He said the government remained focused on ensuring that welfare benefits reach eligible households while pursuing broader economic development across the state.
The pension distribution programme formed part of the government’s wider effort to strengthen support for senior citizens, widows, persons with disabilities and other beneficiaries covered under social welfare schemes.
Industrial Projects Announced in Chittoor Region
Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Hero Motors Global Parts Centre 2.0 at Satyavedu, marking another proposed industrial investment in the Chittoor region. The project is expected to support manufacturing activity and employment opportunities in and around the industrial corridor.
He also launched the Heroes of Tomorrow scholarship programme, aimed at supporting students through educational assistance. The initiative was introduced as part of efforts to encourage skill development and improve access to learning opportunities.
Rural Infrastructure Programme Launched
Along with Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Naidu launched the VBG Ramji programme. The scheme is intended to improve rural infrastructure and promote employment generation in villages.
Officials said the programme would focus on strengthening basic facilities in rural areas while creating work opportunities through development-related activities. The government has indicated that rural growth will remain a central part of its long-term development plans.
Focus on Technology-Based Governance
The Chief Minister also addressed a state-level workshop on Economic Intelligence for Governance. He highlighted the importance of using technology, real-time data and analytical systems to improve public administration.
Naidu said data-based decision-making could help departments identify priorities, monitor implementation and improve the delivery of public services. The state has been working to expand the use of digital tools in governance through the Real Time Governance framework.
Major Investments Planned for Kadapa
In Kadapa district, Naidu launched construction-related activities for the JSW Rayalaseema Steel Plant and the JSW Neo Energy Project. Together, the projects are expected to bring investments exceeding Rs 20,000 crore.
The proposed steel and renewable energy projects are expected to create employment opportunities and strengthen industrial activity in the Rayalaseema region. The government said the investments could also support local businesses and related supply-chain sectors.
Projects and MoUs Signed in Kuppam
During his three-day visit to Kuppam, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects, laid foundation stones and signed memorandums of understanding for 30 initiatives valued at Rs 9,322 crore.
According to the government, the projects have the potential to generate nearly 87,000 direct and indirect jobs. The initiatives cover sectors linked to industry, infrastructure, services and regional development.
Naidu also launched several infrastructure works during the visit, with officials stating that the projects are intended to improve connectivity and public facilities in the region.
