WelfareSchemes – Delhi Launches Citizen Service Camps Across 42 Locations
WelfareSchemes – Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the Jan Kalyan Shivir programme in Pitampura, introducing a large-scale public outreach initiative designed to help residents access government welfare schemes and essential services more conveniently. The campaign, being conducted under the theme “Seva, Suvidha aur Samadhan,” aims to bring multiple government facilities together at a single location for the benefit of citizens.

Camps Established Across the National Capital
Addressing the media during the inauguration, Gupta said that Jan Kalyan Camps have been set up at 42 locations across Delhi. According to her, the initiative coincides with the completion of 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led Union government and one year of the Delhi government.
She stated that people visiting these camps would be able to gather information about a wide range of welfare programmes and determine their eligibility for various benefits. Officials from different government departments have been deployed at the camps to assist residents and ensure smooth delivery of services.
Multiple Services Available Under One Roof
The Chief Minister highlighted that the camps have been designed to eliminate the need for citizens to visit multiple offices for different services. She said beneficiaries can access facilities related to Pink Cards, ration cards, pension schemes, labour cards, PM SVANidhi Yojana and Mudra Yojana at the designated centres.
Residents have been encouraged to carry the required documents while visiting the camps so that applications, registrations and verification procedures can be completed efficiently. The camps are scheduled to operate for three days, from June 18 to June 20.
Focus on Doorstep Governance
Gupta said the government remains committed to making public services more accessible and ensuring that welfare benefits reach eligible citizens without unnecessary delays. She noted that the administration is working to strengthen doorstep governance and improve the delivery of government programmes.
Referring to the broader objective behind the initiative, she said the camps support efforts aimed at expanding citizen participation in welfare schemes and contributing to the vision of a developed India. The government believes that easier access to public services can help improve awareness and increase enrolment in various social welfare programmes.
Wide Range of Government Schemes Included
The Jan Kalyan Shivirs will function daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the three-day period. Organisers have arranged support counters for numerous Central and Delhi government schemes.
Among the services available are assistance related to ration cards, Ayushman cards, pension programmes, Aadhaar registration, Jan Dhan accounts, e-Shram cards, PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma and PM Surya Ghar schemes. Officials will also provide guidance regarding eligibility requirements, documentation and application procedures.
The initiative is intended to simplify access to government programmes by allowing residents to complete several processes at a single venue rather than travelling to different government offices.
Part of Broader Outreach Campaign
The Jan Kalyan Shivirs form part of a wider public outreach effort being carried out across Delhi. The programme is being organised to mark 12 years of governance by the National Democratic Alliance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Authorities say the objective is to ensure that welfare benefits reach every eligible resident while enhancing awareness about available government support programmes. The campaign is also expected to strengthen public engagement with government services and improve access for individuals from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
With camps operating simultaneously across the city, officials anticipate a strong response from residents seeking information, registrations and benefits under various welfare initiatives.
