Transfers – Delhi Government Reshuffles 60 IAS and DANICS Officers Across Key Departments

Transfers –  The Delhi government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle by transferring 60 IAS and DANICS officers, assigning several senior officials to new responsibilities across important departments. The move is aimed at strengthening governance and improving the functioning of key administrative divisions in the national capital.

Senior Officers Receive Additional Responsibilities

According to an order issued by the Services Department, senior IAS officer Navin Chaudhary of the AGMUT cadre (1994 batch), who is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary in the Irrigation Department, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the General Administration Department. The new assignment places him in charge of another crucial department responsible for administrative coordination within the Delhi government.

Land and Building Department Gets New Secretary

Another senior AGMUT cadre officer from the 1994 batch, Pandurang Pole, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Land and Building Department. The department plays a significant role in matters related to government land, public infrastructure, and property administration, making the appointment an important part of the latest bureaucratic restructuring.

Chief Minister’s Office Officer Assigned New Role

Sandeep Kumar Singh, a 2011-batch AGMUT IAS officer currently serving as Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, has also been given the additional responsibility of Managing Director of the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation. The corporation is involved in redevelopment and heritage-related projects in the historic areas of Delhi, and the new assignment is expected to support the implementation of ongoing development initiatives.

Urban Development and Fire Services See Leadership Changes

As part of the same transfer exercise, Sachin Rana, a 2014-batch AGMUT IAS officer serving as Special Secretary (Home), has been entrusted with two additional responsibilities. He will now also function as Special Secretary in the Urban Development Department while taking charge as the Principal Director of the Delhi Fire Services.

These additional assignments place him in a key administrative position overseeing both urban planning-related matters and the functioning of the capital’s fire safety services.

Administrative Reshuffle Covers 60 Officers

The latest transfer order includes postings and additional responsibilities for a total of 60 IAS and DANICS officers serving in different departments of the Delhi government. Such administrative reshuffles are periodically undertaken to improve departmental coordination, ensure effective governance, and meet changing administrative requirements.

Officials will assume their revised responsibilities in accordance with the directions mentioned in the Services Department’s notification. The transfers are expected to streamline administrative operations across multiple departments while ensuring continuity in governance and public service delivery.
