Suicide Investigation – Young Woman Found Dead at Gwalior Home, Probe Continues
Suicide Investigation – A 22-year-old woman was found dead after allegedly dying by suicide at her home in the DD Nagar locality of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, prompting an ongoing police investigation. Authorities said the incident occurred late on Tuesday night within the jurisdiction of the Maharajpura police station. The deceased has been identified as Sakshi Chaudhary, who had been married to Lalkesh Chaudhary for nearly one and a half years. Police have initiated legal proceedings and are examining all available evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Family Discovered the Incident Late at Night
According to officials, the incident came to light at around 10:45 p.m. when family members went to Sakshi’s room to call her for dinner. After repeated attempts to get a response failed, they entered the room and found her hanging. The family immediately informed the police, following which officers reached the residence, secured the scene, and took custody of the body for further legal formalities.
The body was subsequently sent for a post-mortem examination, which police say will help establish the precise cause of death and assist the ongoing investigation.
Police Register Unnatural Death Case
Investigators confirmed that an unnatural death case has been registered. During the initial inspection of the room and surrounding area, officers did not recover any suicide note. As a result, investigators are relying on witness statements, forensic findings, and other evidence to understand what may have led to the incident.
A police officer from Maharajpura police station stated that officers are questioning family members and examining every possible angle before reaching any conclusion. Authorities have stressed that the investigation remains at an early stage and no definitive findings have been made so far.
Domestic Issues Among Several Angles Under Examination
Police said that while preliminary inquiries have raised the possibility of domestic disagreements, there is currently no confirmed evidence linking any specific reason to the woman’s death. Officials emphasized that speculation should be avoided until the investigation is completed and all relevant facts have been verified.
Investigators are continuing to collect information from relatives and other individuals who may help reconstruct the events leading up to the incident. The post-mortem report is expected to play an important role in clarifying the medical aspects of the case.
Husband Was Reportedly Away on Duty
According to the police, Sakshi’s husband, Lalkesh Chaudhary, works as an engineer in a government department. Officials said he was on duty when the incident took place and returned home after receiving information about what had happened.
Police have already recorded statements from close family members as part of the inquiry. Additional questioning may be conducted if required as investigators continue to verify the sequence of events and assess available evidence.
Investigation Continues Pending Medical Report
Authorities said no conclusion regarding the cause or circumstances of the death will be drawn until the post-mortem findings and other investigative inputs are received. Officials added that every aspect of the case is being examined carefully to ensure that the investigation remains fair and evidence-based.
Further legal action, if required, will depend on the medical report, witness statements, and other material collected during the investigation. Police have confirmed that the inquiry is ongoing and that more details will be shared if new evidence emerges.
