From Early Life to National Leadership

P. V. Narasimha Rao was born on June 28, 1921, in Karimnagar. He pursued higher education at Osmania University in Hyderabad, Bombay University, and Nagpur University. Before entering active politics, he worked as an agriculturist and an advocate. Over the years, he held several important positions in public life, earning recognition for his administrative abilities and policy experience.

Distinguished Political Career

Rao served as the Prime Minister of India from 1991 to 1996, leading the country during a period of major economic and political change. Earlier, he was the Chief Minister of the then united Andhra Pradesh between 1971 and 1973. Alongside his political responsibilities, he remained deeply interested in Indian philosophy, culture, literature, and languages. He wrote fiction, political commentary, and poetry in Telugu and Hindi while maintaining a lifelong interest in reading and learning.
