LegalDispute – Influencer Arrested Over Posts Linked to Kapur Family Controversy
LegalDispute – Delhi Police have arrested dermatologist and social media personality Dr. Neelam Singh, widely known online as “The Skin Doctor,” following allegations related to posts targeting the family of late businessman Sunjay Kapur after his death.

Police officials said the arrest was made after a complaint was submitted at the Vasant Kunj Police Station by representatives of the Kapur family. Authorities acted on the complaint and detained the influencer as part of an ongoing investigation into the matter.
Police Begin Probe After Family Complaint
According to sources familiar with the case, investigators are examining social media activity connected to the influencer’s accounts. Officials have not yet disclosed the exact nature of the posts under scrutiny, but the complaint reportedly accused Singh of publishing objectionable remarks concerning members of the Kapur family in the aftermath of the industrialist’s death.
Delhi Police confirmed that further inquiries are continuing. No additional details regarding charges or legal proceedings were immediately made public.
Dr. Neelam Singh is a practicing dermatologist who has built a substantial audience on digital platforms through skincare-related content and commentary on social issues. His social media profiles describe him as a “socio-politically aware dermatologist,” and he is known for frequently sharing views on public and political developments in India.
Family Conflict Over Sunjay Kapur’s Estate Intensifies
The arrest comes at a time when tensions within the Kapur family are already escalating due to a major legal battle over the estate and family trust connected to the late businessman.
Earlier this week, Sunjay Kapur’s mother approached the Supreme Court with a fresh petition linked to the ongoing dispute surrounding the “RK Family Trust.” In her plea, she sought directions preventing Priya Sachdev Kapur, Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, along with other respondents, from interfering in the trust’s functioning while mediation proceedings remain underway.
The mediation process had previously been initiated by the Supreme Court on May 7 in an effort to resolve disagreements among family members tied to the inheritance and management of assets.
Board Meeting Challenge Reaches Supreme Court
Apart from seeking restrictions related to the trust, the petition also requested a stay on a company board meeting scheduled for May 18. The meeting was reportedly planned following a notice issued on May 8 by Raghuvanshi Investment Private Limited, which is said to control a substantial share of the disputed family holdings.
A bench headed by Justice JB Pardiwala is expected to hear the matter on May 14. During earlier proceedings, the court made strong observations regarding the seriousness of the conflict, indicating that the dispute had reached an intense stage.
The legal disagreement is believed to involve assets valued at nearly Rs 30,000 crore, making it one of the most closely watched family business disputes in recent months. Proceedings connected to the estate are also continuing before the High Court, where interim protections remain in place to preserve the assets until a final decision is reached.
Sunjay Kapur Passed Away in London
Sunjay Kapur, chairman of auto components company Sona Comstar and former husband of actor Karisma Kapoor, died in London on June 12 while playing polo. Initial reports surrounding the incident had triggered widespread public discussion and speculation.
However, later medical findings confirmed that the businessman died of natural causes related to a cardiac condition. His death drew significant attention due to both his corporate profile and his connections to one of India’s prominent business and entertainment circles.
As the investigation into the influencer’s online activity continues, the wider legal and family dispute surrounding the Kapur estate remains under judicial review.
