Khalistan Threats – Diljit Dosanjh Faces Opposition Ahead of US Concert Tour
Khalistan Threats – Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has once again found himself at the center of controversy after the banned pro-Khalistan organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) issued a warning over his upcoming concert schedule in the United States. The organisation, headed by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, released a video message claiming it would protest against the artist’s performances abroad.

Tension During Calgary Performance
The latest development follows an incident during Dosanjh’s Aura 2026 concert held in Calgary, Canada, on Friday. During the live event, a group of individuals allegedly displayed Khalistan-related flags and shouted anti-India slogans inside the venue.
According to reports, the singer reacted strongly to the disruption and instructed security officials to remove those involved from the concert area. Audience members reportedly responded with loud applause after the artist addressed the issue publicly from the stage.
Tour Focused on Punjabi History and Legacy
Dosanjh’s ongoing North American tour has largely been centered around the contributions and sacrifices of early Punjabi migrants. Through the Aura World Tour 2026, the singer has been paying tribute to significant moments connected to Punjabi history, including the Komagata Maru tragedy and the role of Ghadar movement revolutionaries.
During the Calgary performance, Dosanjh also spoke about the achievements of Punjabi communities overseas. He highlighted that the strong and successful Punjabi presence across North America was made possible through the struggles and sacrifices of earlier generations who migrated abroad under difficult circumstances.
Repeated Threats Against the Singer
This is not the first occasion on which Sikhs for Justice has publicly targeted the Punjabi performer. The organisation has previously issued boycott calls and online threats linked to his concerts and public appearances.
The latest warning has again raised concerns around security arrangements at international events involving Indian artists, particularly in Canada and the United States where political demonstrations linked to Khalistan-related groups have increased in recent years.
Previous Disturbances at Vancouver Concert
Just last month, another controversy surfaced during Dosanjh’s concert in Vancouver. Reports suggested that pro-Khalistan supporters attempted to create unrest during the event, leading to tension among attendees and organisers.
While the concerts themselves have continued to attract massive crowds, repeated disruptions have prompted discussions around crowd management and artist safety at overseas cultural events. Organisers of such large-scale music tours are now facing growing pressure to strengthen venue security and prevent political confrontations from affecting public performances.
Despite the controversy, Diljit Dosanjh remains one of the most prominent Punjabi entertainers on the global stage. His international tours continue to draw thousands of fans across North America, Europe, and other regions with large Punjabi communities.
