Ahead of the oath-taking event held at Lok Bhavan, D.K. Shivakumar and outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah welcomed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi at HAL Airport in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Shivakumar received the visiting leaders with bouquets, and the leaders exchanged greetings before heading to the ceremony venue.

The arrival of prominent national leaders highlighted the importance the party attached to the occasion, which drew participation from supporters and invited guests from different parts of the country.

Interactions With Guests and Spiritual Leaders

After reaching Lok Bhavan, Shivakumar spent time meeting distinguished guests assembled at the Glass House. He interacted with invitees and received blessings from several respected spiritual figures before formally assuming office.

Among those he met was Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, whose blessings he sought ahead of taking on his new responsibilities. The incoming leader also paid respects to Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murty. In a gesture of respect, Shivakumar sought their blessings before the commencement of the official proceedings.

Presence of Celebrities and Public Figures

The ceremony brought together personalities from the entertainment, sports, and public sectors. Kannada film stars Shivarajkumar and Daali Dhananjaya attended the event, while actress and former Member of Parliament Ramya was also present among the invited guests.

Former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin joined the gathering as well, adding to the list of notable personalities who witnessed the occasion. Their presence reflected the broad public interest surrounding the formation of the new government.

She also stated that the family looked forward to seeing how he would lead Karnataka and believed his years of political experience would help him address the challenges of governance successfully.

Telangana Leaders Attend Historic Occasion

Several senior leaders from neighbouring Telangana were among those present for the ceremony. The delegation included Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, and other cabinet colleagues.

Their participation reflected the close political engagement between leaders from the two states and added to the significance of the event.
