Fire Reported Late Sunday Night

According to officials from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the emergency call was received from the hospital at approximately 10:25 pm. The alert prompted an immediate response from firefighting teams, who were dispatched to the location without delay.

Firefighting Teams Reached Promptly

To tackle the situation, the fire department sent three fire engines along with a water bowser and a breathing apparatus support vehicle. Emergency personnel worked quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the healthcare facility.

Officials said the blaze was limited to an electrical junction box, which helped firefighters contain the situation more effectively. Their rapid action ensured that hospital operations were not significantly affected.

No Casualties Reported

Authorities confirmed that all patients, medical staff, and visitors remained safe throughout the incident. No casualties or injuries were reported, providing relief to both hospital authorities and local residents.

The Delhi Fire Service stated that the fire was fully controlled by around 10:40 pm, roughly 15 minutes after the emergency call was received. Firefighters remained at the site for additional checks to ensure there was no risk of reignition.

Focus on Electrical Safety

While the exact cause of the fire has not yet been officially disclosed, incidents involving electrical infrastructure often raise concerns regarding maintenance and safety inspections in public and private establishments. Authorities are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident as part of routine procedures.

Healthcare facilities are considered critical infrastructure, making rapid emergency response particularly important in such situations. Fire safety systems and evacuation preparedness remain essential components of hospital management across major cities.

Recent Fire Tragedy Highlights Ongoing Concerns

The incident comes shortly after a devastating fire at a restaurant in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area that resulted in the deaths of at least 21 people, including several foreign nationals. That tragedy renewed public attention on fire safety compliance and emergency preparedness across commercial and public establishments in the national capital.

Although the Dabri hospital fire was contained before causing major damage, the event serves as another reminder of the importance of maintaining electrical systems and ensuring that emergency response mechanisms remain fully operational.
