Hidayat Patel Died: Following an incident in Akola on Tuesday night, January 6, senior Congress politician and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress vice-president Hidayat Patel passed away while receiving medical attention for his wounds. In the Akot taluka’s Mohala village, Patel was assaulted.

Information claims that Hidayat Patel was assaulted by a young man known as Ubed Patel because of a familial and political disagreement. The culprit left the scene of the assault but was apprehended at night by the Panaj village people. Patel passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, January 7, despite receiving treatment at a private hospital in Akola.

Yashomati Thakur, a Congress worker and advocate, confirmed the death news and expressed her condolences, calling it “extremely heartbreaking.”Amidst political disagreements, Patel was the target of a deadly assault on Tuesday. After that, he was receiving medical care in Akola. Nevertheless, Thakur said on X (previously Twitter) that Patel died while receiving treatment.I hope that God would bring him inner peace and give his family the fortitude to get beyond this sadness. Sincere condolences,” she continued.

Mateen Patel, a BJP employee, was killed in Mohala village after the results of the 2019 Lok Sabha election due to a political disagreement. In the case, Hidayat Patel was one of ten defendants. Mateen Patel’s nephew is the defendant Ubed Patel.

In 2014 and 2019, Hidayat Patel ran as a Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha. He was the Congress’s state vice-president at the time of his death. Political circles have been rocked by his passing.

Hidayat Patel was heading home after praying at a mosque in Mohala village when the incident happened on Tuesday at approximately 2:00 pm. He was reportedly stabbed in the neck and stomach by Ubed Patel. Patel was taken to a private hospital in Akot after suffering severe injuries. His condition was considered critical by the doctors. Later, while receiving therapy, he passed away.

Hidayat Patel was a well-known Muslim Congress politician in the Akola district and the vice president of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress. In 2014 and 2019, he ran on the Congress ticket for the Lok Sabha. placed third in the 2019 polls and second in the 2014 ones.

For 25 years, Patel served as the District Cooperative Bank’s director. He now serves as the Akot Taluka Cooperative Purchase and Sale Union’s president. Currently a director, he served as head of the Akot Market Committee for 35 years.
