OrganicExports – BIOFACH India 2026 Brings Global Buyers Together to Boost Trade
OrganicExports –India’s organic agriculture sector received a major boost as the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) brought together more than 35 overseas buyers from 13 important international markets during BIOFACH India 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen export opportunities by creating a common platform for trade discussions, knowledge sharing and long-term business partnerships between Indian exporters and global buyers.
International Buyers Explore Indian Organic Products
According to the Ministry of Commerce, buyers from countries including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia and Egypt participated in the event. These delegates represented established importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail businesses from their respective markets. Through specially organised Buyer-Seller Meets (BSMs), they interacted directly with Indian exhibitors to identify sourcing opportunities and develop future commercial relationships in the organic food sector.
The structured meetings were designed to encourage meaningful business engagement while helping Indian producers understand international market expectations and demand trends.
BIOFACH India 2026 Showcases Diverse Industry Participation
The Ministry of Commerce, in partnership with Nuernberg Messe India, is hosting BIOFACH India 2026 from August 6 to August 8 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The exhibition has attracted more than 200 participating companies, with over 60 exhibitors displaying their products under the APEDA Pavilion.
The event serves as a meeting point for exporters, buyers, policymakers and industry professionals, providing opportunities to discuss market developments, product innovation and the future of India’s organic exports.
Organic Farming Seen as a Growth Driver
Katikithala Srinivas, Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, highlighted the expanding role of the organic sector in India’s agricultural economy. He said that organic farming presents valuable opportunities to increase agricultural exports while creating stronger income prospects for farmers, producer organisations and businesses across the country.
He noted that international trade events such as BIOFACH India offer an effective platform to present India’s certified organic products to global markets. These engagements also help improve the country’s visibility in the international organic industry, encourage sustainable agricultural practices and support better value generation throughout the organic supply chain.
Wide Representation from Across India
The APEDA Pavilion features participation from exporters, women-led enterprises, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), startups and organic businesses from several states. Exhibitors represent Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and other regions known for certified organic farming.
This broad participation reflects the increasing contribution of different states to India’s expanding organic agriculture sector and highlights the country’s geographical diversity in organic production.
Extensive Range of Certified Organic Products on Display
Visitors to the exhibition can explore a wide variety of certified organic products sourced from different parts of India. The display includes cereals, pulses, millets, spices, tea, coffee, fresh fruits, vegetables, processed food products, medicinal herbs, oilseeds, edible oils, honey, cocoa-based products, natural ingredients, organic nutraceuticals and several other value-added food items.
The exhibition demonstrates India’s ability to supply a broad portfolio of certified organic products supported by diverse agro-climatic conditions. By connecting producers with international buyers and strengthening commercial partnerships, BIOFACH India 2026 is expected to contribute to the continued growth of India’s organic exports while promoting sustainable agricultural development.
