AAP leader Gopal Rai criticized the handling of the situation, alleging that authorities did not promptly register a formal complaint regarding the incident. In a public statement shared on social media, Rai questioned the law-and-order situation and accused political opponents of creating an atmosphere of fear ahead of the elections.

Rai claimed that attempts were being made to influence the electoral process through intimidation. He described the incident as part of a broader pattern of pressure tactics and called for accountability from law enforcement agencies.
