Education – Delhi Education Department Seeks Experts for Class 12 Study Resource Project

Education – The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has launched a new initiative aimed at improving academic assistance for students enrolled in Patrachar Vidyalaya. As part of this effort, the department has invited applications from principals, vice-principals, and subject teachers working in government schools to help create comprehensive Class XII study materials.

Focus on Better Learning Resources

According to a circular published on the department’s official website, educators have been asked to participate either as coordinators or team members in the development of subject-specific content. The material will be designed in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

The move is intended to support students who pursue their education through non-formal learning systems and often depend heavily on self-study due to limited access to regular classroom instruction.

Comprehensive Study Material Planned

Officials stated that the proposed resources will extend beyond standard textbooks. Students will receive structured academic support through chapter-wise explanations, practice assignments, important examination questions, sample papers, competency-focused exercises, and analysis of question patterns from previous years.

The objective is to provide learners with a well-organized framework that can help them prepare more effectively for board examinations while also strengthening their understanding of key concepts.

Selection Process for Educators

Interested educators were asked to submit details of their professional qualifications, teaching experience, and any previous work related to academic content creation or study material development. Applications were scheduled to be submitted by June 10.

The department has indicated that preference will be given to candidates who possess experience working with both NIOS and CBSE academic systems, ensuring that the content remains relevant and effective for open-school students.

Dedicated Teams for Each Subject

For every subject included in the project, a dedicated team will be formed. Each group will consist of one principal or vice-principal serving as coordinator, four subject specialists, and an IT or data-entry operator.

The preparation work will take place at the coordinator’s school, and the completed material is expected to be submitted by the middle of July. The structured team approach is expected to help maintain consistency and quality across all subjects.

Incentives for Participation

To encourage active involvement, the department has announced benefits for participating educators. Regular teachers selected for the project will be eligible for earned leave under the applicable Central Civil Services (CCS) rules.

Guest teachers contributing to the assignment will receive attendance certification, with their participation being treated as official duty days. This measure is intended to recognize the efforts of educators while ensuring smooth execution of the project.

Step Toward Stronger Academic Support

Education officials have described the initiative as an important measure to improve and standardize learning resources available to Patrachar Vidyalaya students. Such learners frequently face academic challenges because of irregular schooling schedules and reduced classroom engagement.

The department believes that drawing on the expertise of experienced school leaders and teachers will result in high-quality study materials that support both examination readiness and deeper conceptual learning. Officials expect the initiative to make academic guidance more accessible and effective for thousands of students pursuing education through open and distance learning pathways.
