Delhi party firing and hitrun case

Gunshot Incident Reported During Rohini House Party

A 21-year-old man was injured after a firearm reportedly went off during a private party in Delhi’s Jain Nagar locality, which falls under the jurisdiction of Begampur Police Station. Authorities said the incident occurred during a social gathering at a residential property in the Rohini district.

The injured man, identified as Raja, sustained a bullet wound to his stomach. According to preliminary information shared by police officials, the shot was allegedly fired from a pistol owned by one of the individuals present at the gathering.

Police stated that Raja was immediately taken to a nearby hospital after the incident. He is currently receiving medical treatment, and doctors are monitoring his condition.

Friends Allegedly Left the Scene After Firing

Investigators revealed that several people who were present at the party reportedly left the location shortly after the firing took place. Officials suspect the incident may have been accidental, though a detailed inquiry is underway to confirm how the weapon was discharged.

Police teams are examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are also attempting to identify and trace everyone who attended the gathering. Statements from witnesses and forensic findings are expected to play an important role in the investigation.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the firearm used in the incident was licensed. Further details are likely to emerge once questioning and evidence collection are completed.

Separate Case: Security Guard Killed in Outer Delhi

In another serious incident reported from the national capital, a 60-year-old security guard died after allegedly being struck multiple times by a four-wheeler in Peeragarhi village, located in Outer Delhi.

According to police officials, information regarding the incident was received at Paschim Vihar West Police Station at around 4:03 AM on Sunday. A police team rushed to the location after receiving a call about a fatal road accident.

Upon arrival, officers found the elderly man lying unconscious on the road. During the initial investigation, police identified the deceased as a local chowkidar who worked at a nearby tempo stand.

CCTV Footage Becomes Key Evidence

During the inspection of the scene, investigators reportedly noticed skid marks on the road, prompting officials to closely review CCTV footage collected from nearby cameras.

Police later discovered from the video footage that the victim had allegedly been run over twice by the same vehicle. The development shifted the investigation from a routine accident inquiry to a more serious criminal case.

Following the findings, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including provisions related to causing death and common intention.

Investigations Continue in Both Cases

Delhi Police officials confirmed that separate investigations are ongoing in both matters. In the Rohini firing case, officers are trying to establish whether negligence or unlawful possession of a weapon was involved. Meanwhile, in the Peeragarhi death case, efforts are being made to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle seen in the CCTV footage.

Authorities have urged anyone with information related to either case to cooperate with investigators. Additional details are expected as police continue their enquiries and gather forensic evidence.
