Crime – Juvenile Held After Motorcycle Set Ablaze in Delhi Dispute
Crime – A teenager has been taken into custody by Delhi Police for allegedly being involved in the burning of a motorcycle in the Adarsh Nagar area of the national capital. According to investigators, the incident occurred after a disagreement between the vehicle owner and three youths over the use of the motorcycle.

Police officials said the complainant, identified as Subedar, was approached by the accused and two of his associates, who reportedly asked to borrow his motorcycle to purchase liquor. When he declined their request, the trio allegedly reacted by targeting the vehicle and setting it on fire.
Incident Reported in Adarsh Nagar
The matter came to light after the motorcycle owner informed authorities about the damage. Following the complaint, police registered a case under provisions related to destruction of property by fire at Adarsh Nagar Police Station. Officers then began examining evidence and tracing those believed to be responsible for the act.
Investigators said the accused juvenile was later identified and apprehended as part of the ongoing probe. The role of the other individuals allegedly involved is also being examined.
Previous Criminal Allegations Surface
During the investigation, police reviewed the juvenile’s background and found that he had allegedly been linked to multiple criminal cases in the past. Authorities stated that these cases included allegations related to theft, assault, snatching, attempted murder, and similar acts of property damage.
Officials noted that the findings formed part of a broader assessment of the suspect’s activities and associations while the inquiry was underway.
Social Media Activity Under Scrutiny
Police also examined the teenager’s online presence and discovered a social media account that they believe was being operated by him. The account reportedly used the name “CRIME” along with the username “king_of_azadpur_001”.
According to investigators, posts published through the account contained images and content that appeared to promote criminal behavior. Authorities alleged that some posts showed the user displaying firearms and attempting to project an intimidating image online.
Special Monitoring Team Tracks Offenders
The breakthrough came during monitoring efforts carried out by the special staff of the Northwest District Police. Officials said the unit regularly tracks the online activity of individuals suspected of involvement in serious and violent offences.
Police believe that social media is increasingly being used by some offenders to gain attention, influence local communities, and create fear. As a result, authorities have intensified surveillance of public online content connected to criminal investigations.
Police Appeal to Residents
Following the arrest, police urged citizens to remain alert and cooperate with law enforcement agencies. Residents have been encouraged to report any suspicious behavior, unlawful activities, or content that appears to promote violence or criminal conduct.
Officials said public cooperation plays an important role in maintaining safety and helping authorities respond quickly to potential threats within local communities.
