Accident Reported on Railway Bridge

The incident occurred on Sunday night at the Kothalankapalli railway bridge, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Penballi Police Station. According to officials, the private bus was carrying 36 passengers when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The bus subsequently overturned on the bridge, causing panic among those onboard.

Initial reports from local authorities indicated that between 22 and 23 passengers suffered injuries in the crash. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

Rescue Teams Reached the Site Quickly

Soon after receiving information about the accident, police personnel and emergency response teams rushed to the location. Rescue operations began immediately to ensure the safe evacuation of passengers trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Officials worked to remove the injured passengers and provide immediate assistance before transporting them to nearby hospitals. Emergency responders coordinated efforts to prevent further risks and clear the accident site.

Injured Passengers Under Medical Care

Health authorities confirmed that all injured passengers were admitted to medical facilities for treatment. Doctors and medical staff are closely monitoring their condition.

A police officer stated that the bus overturned on the Kothalankapalli railway bridge during the night. Of the 36 passengers travelling in the vehicle, around 22 sustained injuries and were shifted to hospitals for further medical attention.

Authorities have not yet released detailed findings regarding the exact cause of the accident, and further inquiries are expected.

Separate Incident Reported in Vikarabad

In another incident reported earlier this month, four people were injured after the roof of an old hotel building collapsed in Telangana’s Vikarabad district.

The accident took place around midday within the limits of Marpally Police Station. Rescue personnel were immediately deployed after the structure gave way, trapping several individuals beneath the debris.

Customers Rescued from Debris

Police officials said all four injured individuals were customers present inside the hotel when the roof suddenly collapsed. Rescue teams successfully pulled them from the rubble and transported them to a hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, the building was approximately five decades old. Preliminary information suggests that the aging structure may have contributed to the collapse, though a detailed assessment is still underway.

Victims Reportedly Out of Danger

A police official stated that emergency teams acted quickly after receiving information about the collapse. The injured individuals suffered wounds but were rescued safely and admitted to a hospital.

Authorities later confirmed that all four victims were out of danger. Medical teams continue to monitor their recovery while officials examine the circumstances that led to the structural failure.

Both incidents have highlighted the importance of transport safety measures and regular inspections of aging infrastructure to prevent similar accidents in the future.
