Registration Figures Show High Student Participation

Official data released by the university indicates that a total of 2,73,751 candidates created registrations on the CSAS portal. Out of these, 2,18,284 applicants successfully completed the entire registration process. The gender-wise breakup shows that 97,775 male candidates finished their applications, while female applicants accounted for 1,20,509 completed registrations, continuing the trend of higher female participation in undergraduate admissions.

The registration numbers underline the growing demand for admission to Delhi University, which remains one of India’s most preferred destinations for higher education.

Preference Submission Completed in Second Admission Phase

Along with registration, a significant number of students also completed the second phase of the admission process by submitting their preferred courses and colleges. According to university officials, 2,06,835 candidates entered their programme and college preferences before the deadline.

The second phase remained open from July 3 to July 11. During this period, applicants were required to match the subjects they studied in Class 12 with the corresponding subjects they appeared for in CUET-UG 2026. Candidates also selected their preferred combinations of undergraduate programmes and colleges through the online portal.

Simulated Ranks Released for Candidate Review

To help students make informed decisions before the final seat allocation, Delhi University released simulated ranks on the CSAS portal at 5 pm on Sunday. These provisional rankings allow candidates to understand their likely position based on their submitted preferences and examination performance.

Applicants have been given an opportunity to revise the order of their programme and college choices after reviewing their simulated ranks. The university has allowed modifications until 4:59 pm on July 13. Officials have advised candidates to carefully review their preferences before the editing window closes, as the final allotment will be prepared based on the updated choices.

First Seat Allocation Scheduled for July 16

The university has announced that the first CSAS seat allocation list will be published on July 16. Candidates who receive an allotted seat will then have to complete the admission formalities within the timeline specified by the university. Admission will be confirmed only after candidates fulfil all required procedures, including document verification and fee payment, according to the official schedule.

University authorities have urged applicants to regularly monitor the admission portal for updates and ensure that they do not miss any important deadlines during the counselling process.

CUET Scores Remain the Sole Basis for Admission

Admissions for the 2026-27 undergraduate session are being conducted exclusively through CUET-UG 2026 scores. Delhi University is offering admission to 73 undergraduate programmes along with more than 100 Bachelor of Arts programme combinations across its 67 affiliated colleges.

While CUET scores form the basis of seat allocation, candidates must also satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed for each programme. The university has reiterated that admissions will be granted only after verifying both merit and programme-specific eligibility conditions, ensuring a transparent and standardised admission process for students from across the country.
