Starlink India Price Leak: According to Starlink, the price leak for India was just testing data

Starlink India Price Leak: Following the short appearance of pricing for Starlink’s hardware and satellite internet service on the company’s official website, rumors regarding the company’s India debut went viral online. Many believed that this was the much-anticipated formal announcement for the Indian market.

Starlink has now stated unequivocally that the pricing was fictitious.

“Not Live Yet” is the Starlink India website.
In a post on X, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer explained the circumstances.

According to her, the firm is not currently accepting orders from customers in India, the Starlink India website is not operational, and no official price has been disclosed.

Dreyer claims that what was shown was caused by a setup error that momentarily made internal fake test data on the website visible. She emphasized that the numbers were promptly eliminated as soon as the problem was identified and do not accurately represent the cost of Starlink service in India.

Starlink is still awaiting final approvals.
Starlink claims that its ambitions for India are still very much in the works despite the misunderstanding. The firm is “eager to connect the people of India,” Dreyer said, adding that teams are now concentrating on obtaining the final government clearances required to launch the service and the India website.

Starlink may launch in India sometime in the first quarter of 2026, according to industry conjecture. However, this timeframe is unofficial, and nothing can be assured until all regulatory permissions have been obtained.

What Indian Users Should Know About This
The message is straightforward for now:

The prices you see on the internet are subject to change.

For India, pre-orders and sign-ups are not yet being taken.

Only once the firm publicly starts its service in India will Starlink’s exact plans and price be revealed.

It seems sense that interest in Starlink is strong given how alluring satellite broadband is for rural and isolated locations. However, until SpaceX and Indian authorities finish the certification process and Starlink releases verified tariffs, any “leak” or screenshot that is transmitted should be regarded as conjecture rather than truth.

In summary, Starlink is not yet operational in India, and the exact figures are yet unknown.
