EAM Jaishankar : attends an exhibition in Paris that highlights Indian ancestry and strong cultural links

Jaishankar : went to an exhibition in Paris called “Ce qui se trame – woven stories between India and France,” which highlighted the two countries’ close cultural ties by showcasing India’s textile tradition, skill, and workmanship. Additionally, it serves as a reminder of the close cultural ties between France and India,” EAM said on X on Monday (Indian time).

From January 4–9, EAM Jaishankar will be in France and Luxembourg on an official visit. The EAM will meet with French officials and speak with Jean Noel Barrot, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he is in France.

“They will discuss matters of global importance and the progress made under the India-France Strategic Partnership,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement. As the Guest of Honor, EAM will also speak at the 31st French Ambassador’s Conference.

EAM Jaishankar will meet with top leadership and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Xavier Bettel while in Luxembourg. Additionally, he will engage with the Indian community in Luxembourg.

On the fringes of the G20 Summit in South Africa in November of last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met French President Emmanuel Macron.

In September and August of last year, the two leaders also spoke over the phone, sharing their perspectives on efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine and reiterating India’s steadfast support for a peaceful resolution of the matter and the early restoration of peace and stability throughout the entire region.

The two leaders have examined and favorably evaluated the advancements in bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, including as economics, defense, science, technology, and space, during their discussions over the last several months.

In accordance with the Defense Industrial Roadmap, the Indo-Pacific Roadmap, and the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, they have reiterated their commitment to further enhancing the India-France Strategic Partnership.
