Television – Veteran actor Sudesh Berry recently looked back at one of his well-known television appearances, reminding fans of his role as Officer Vidhan in the popular investigative series CID. The actor shared an old photograph from the show on Instagram, bringing back memories for long-time viewers of the iconic crime procedural.

In the shared image, Sudesh Berry appeared in the familiar look associated with the character, complete with a moustache and dark sunglasses. Keeping the post simple and nostalgic, the actor captioned the photograph with the words “CID Officer Vidhan,” instantly drawing attention from followers who remembered his contribution to the series.
CID Continues To Hold A Strong Legacy
Created by B. P. Singh, CID first aired in January 1998 and went on to become one of India’s longest-running television programs. Over the years, the show built a dedicated audience with its crime investigations, memorable dialogues, and popular characters.
The series featured several prominent actors including Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Aditya Srivastava as Senior Inspector Abhijeet, and Dayanand Shetty as Senior Inspector Daya. He made his Hindi film debut in 1988 with Khatron Ke Khiladi, which featured stars such as Dharmendra, Sanjay Dutt, Chunky Panday, Madhuri Dixit, and Neelam.
During the same year, he also entered television through the epic serial Mahabharat, where he portrayed Maharaj Vichitraviya. His performances in the early years helped him gain visibility in the industry.
The actor later earned recognition for his work in the 1990 action drama Ghayal starring Sunny Deol. Following that success, he appeared in several notable films including Border, Refugee, LOC: Kargil, Tango Charlie and Sanam Teri Kasam.

Most recently, Sudesh Berry appeared in a special role in Border 2, the sequel to the 1997 war drama Border. The film is based around the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war and features actors including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
