Spirit – Katrina Kaif Rumours Dismissed as Makers Continue Prabhas Film Production
Spirit -Speculation surrounding Katrina Kaif’s reported involvement in Spirit has been dismissed, with fresh reports stating that there is no factual basis for the claims. The much-anticipated Telugu film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and headlined by Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, continues to generate significant attention as production moves ahead.

Industry discussions intensified after several reports suggested that Katrina Kaif had been approached for an important role in Spirit. If the reports had been accurate, the project would have marked her return to Telugu cinema after nearly twenty years. However, according to a report by Hindustan Times, the rumours are unfounded and no official development supports the speculation.
Clarification Ends Ongoing Speculation
The latest clarification states that there is no confirmed plan involving Katrina Kaif’s participation in Spirit. Reports linking the actress to the film have been described as speculative and lacking verification. As of now, neither the filmmakers nor Katrina’s representatives have announced any collaboration related to the project.
The clarification arrives after online discussions gained momentum across entertainment platforms, leading many fans to believe that the actress would be making a surprise appearance in the upcoming action drama.
Katrina Kaif Yet to Announce New Film Projects
Interest in Katrina Kaif’s professional future has remained high since she stepped away from the spotlight following the birth of her son, Vihaan, in 2025. The actress, who welcomed the child with her husband, Vicky Kaushal, has maintained a relatively private public profile and has not confirmed any new acting assignments.
Earlier this year, reports suggesting that she was preparing for a comeback through an OTT project were also denied. As a result, there is currently no official announcement regarding her next film or digital release.
Fans Expected a Telugu Cinema Return
The speculation attracted considerable attention because it hinted at Katrina Kaif returning to Telugu cinema after her earlier appearances in films such as Malliswari and Allari Pidugu. Many followers also viewed the reports as a possible indication of her return to the big screen after her 2024 release, Merry Christmas, in which she starred opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
Although the latest clarification has ruled out her association with Spirit, fan interest in her next career move remains strong.
Spirit Production Continues as Scheduled
Meanwhile, work on Spirit is progressing steadily under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga under the banners of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures.
Prabhas and Triptii Dimri play the lead roles in the film. Promotional material released earlier offered audiences a first glimpse of the characters, featuring Prabhas in an intense, blood-stained appearance while Triptii Dimri is seen lighting his cigarette, creating curiosity about the film’s storyline and tone.
Nearly Half the Film Has Been Completed
During a recent Telugu Talents Association event, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared an update on the production schedule. He revealed that approximately 40 percent of the filming has already been completed. The project marks his next directorial venture following the commercial success of Animal, released in 2023.
According to the current schedule, Spirit is expected to arrive in theatres on March 5, 2027. While rumours surrounding additional casting continue to circulate online, official updates remain limited to the confirmed lead cast and the progress of production.
