Preethi Asrani: The identity of the character that Preethi Asrani portrays alongside Vidhu in filmmaker Rathna Kumar’s forthcoming romantic movie ’29’ has finally been revealed.

The actress posted stills of herself from the movie on her Instagram page, writing, “Meet your VIJI. #29TheFilm.”
Fans and movie enthusiasts were drawn to the movie when the producers unveiled a title teaser. Men who were 29 years old were asked their identities in the title teaser. Some responded with their names, while others mentioned their occupations or interests. When the hero is finally asked the same question, he responds that he is unsure. The movie’s heroine, Preethi Asrani, enters the bus and sits next him as he gazes out the window while lost in contemplation.
Two of Tamil cinema’s leading filmmakers’ production companies are working on the movie. Production companies Stone Bench Productions, owned by Karthik Subbaraj, and G Squad, founded by filmmaker Lokesh Kanakaraj, are producing the movie.
Director Rathna Kumar has said, “The first time I got suicidal thoughts was when I was 29,” at the title teaser announcement event. My perspective on life changed for the better after that, and ever since, I’ve been seen by others as a positive person.
Speaking about the movie, Rathna Kumar said that it took him 35 to 40 days to shoot. He used the statement, “If my earlier rom-com film, ‘Meyaadha Maan’, had a capital C, this film ’29’ will have a ‘R’,” to emphasize that his previous film had a larger proportion of comedy than romance, while this future film will have a bigger proportion of romance than humor.
The film, which was written and directed by Rathna Kumar, would star Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar in addition to Vidhu and Preethi Asrani. Sean Roldan provided the soundtrack for this movie, which Mathankumar co-directed.
Shanmugaraja is in charge of the film’s art direction, while Madhesh Manickam handles the film’s cinematography and R S Sathish Kumar handles its editing. Don Ashok coordinated the stunts in the movie, while Praveen Raja created the costumes.
Uma Devi and Bakkiyam Shankar are the film’s two lyricists, while Sherif M and Leelavathi are its two dance choreographers.
