Movie – Kriti Sanon Opens Up on Growth as Cocktail 2 Continues Strong Box Office Run
Movie – Kriti Sanon is enjoying a remarkable phase in her career after the impressive response to Cocktail 2. The actress has earned praise for her role as Ally, while the film continues to perform steadily in cinemas across India and overseas. Even as discussions around industry competition remain common on social media, Kriti says her attention is firmly on improving herself rather than comparing her journey with others.

Kriti Sanon Focuses on Personal Growth Over Industry Comparisons
As conversations about rankings and rivalry among leading actresses continue to circulate online, Kriti shared that she prefers not to let such discussions influence her mindset. According to the actress, confidence in one’s own path makes external comparisons irrelevant. She believes every performer brings a unique quality to the screen, making comparisons unnecessary.
Kriti explained that her biggest challenge is to surpass her own previous work with every new project. She considers artistic improvement the real measure of success and hopes each performance is remembered as stronger than the last. For her, continuous development as an actor carries far greater value than competing with anyone else in the industry.
Cocktail 2 Continues Its Successful Theatrical Journey
The latest romantic drama serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail. The screenplay has been written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, while the project has been jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the banners of Maddock Films and Luv Films.
The film features Shahid Kapoor in the role of Kunal, Rashmika Mandanna as Diya and Kriti Sanon as Ally. Set against the scenic backdrop of Sicily, the story revolves around a couple whose relationship faces unexpected challenges after meeting Diya’s close friend during a vacation. The emotional narrative and performances have contributed significantly to the film’s positive reception among audiences.
First Week Collections Cross Major Milestone
Cocktail 2 has continued to attract moviegoers despite the usual decline in weekday collections. On its seventh day in theatres, the film earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore net in India, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 70.50 crore after completing its first week. The previous day had contributed Rs 5.25 crore to the overall total, reflecting a gradual but expected slowdown following a strong opening.
Trade observers note that crossing the Rs 70 crore mark within the first week places the film among the stronger-performing romantic dramas of the year. Positive audience response and favorable word of mouth have helped sustain its theatrical run across several markets.
Overseas Performance Adds to Global Success
Apart from its domestic performance, Cocktail 2 has also registered encouraging numbers in international territories. The film collected approximately Rs 1 crore overseas on its seventh day, pushing its international gross earnings to Rs 25 crore.
With healthy collections from both Indian and overseas markets, the worldwide gross has now reached Rs 109.07 crore. The global performance highlights the film’s broad appeal and reinforces its position as one of the notable commercial successes currently running in theatres
