Cinema – Kangana Ranaut’s Upcoming Film Pays Tribute to Mumbai Attack Heroes
Cinema – The makers of “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” released a new motion poster on Thursday, offering audiences a first glimpse into the emotional core of the upcoming drama starring Kangana Ranaut. The video, titled “The Unseen Heroes,” highlights the bravery of ordinary people who stepped forward during one of the country’s darkest moments — the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

The motion poster focuses on hospital employees and support staff who continued serving amid fear and uncertainty. Nurses, ward assistants, cleaners, security guards, lift operators, and administrators are portrayed as silent contributors who protected lives during the crisis without expecting recognition.
Film Focuses on Everyday Courage
Speaking about the project, Kangana Ranaut described the film as a tribute to individuals whose sacrifices often remain unnoticed. According to the actor, the story sheds light on people who chose compassion and responsibility even when their own lives were at risk.
She explained that while society often looks toward armed personnel or official authorities during emergencies, there are countless civilians who quietly become protectors in difficult situations. Ranaut added that the film attempts to acknowledge those individuals whose courage is rarely celebrated publicly.
The actor also shared her thoughts on the newly released motion poster, saying every frame was designed to reflect the emotions and struggles of those who acted selflessly during the attacks. She noted that being associated with a project carrying such stories was deeply meaningful for her.
Director Highlights Emotional Depth of the Story
Writer and director Manoj Tapadia said the team wanted to move beyond the usual portrayal of violence commonly seen in films based on tragic events. Instead of focusing only on destruction and panic, the makers aimed to capture the quieter moments of bravery shown by ordinary people.
Tapadia stated that the film explores the difficult decisions made within seconds when civilians faced life-threatening danger. According to him, the intention was to present how fear and humanity can exist together in moments of crisis.
He further explained that the creative team worked to portray emotional realism rather than cinematic spectacle. The film attempts to document how individuals with no formal training or authority still became protectors for others during the attacks.
Ensemble Cast Joins Kangana Ranaut
Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the film features several actors in important roles. The cast includes Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan.
The makers believe the ensemble cast helps strengthen the emotional narrative by representing different sections of society affected during the tragedy. The story is expected to revolve around multiple characters connected through their experiences during the emergency situation.
Production and Release Details
“Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” has been produced by Pen Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Paramhans Creations in collaboration with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 12.
The motion poster has already drawn attention for its serious tone and focus on lesser-known stories from the Mumbai attacks. Unlike action-driven portrayals, the upcoming drama appears centered on emotional resilience, public service, and human solidarity during a national tragedy.
Industry observers believe the film could offer audiences a different perspective on the 2008 attacks by focusing on civilians and healthcare workers who remained committed to helping others despite extreme danger. With its tribute-driven narrative, the film aims to honour those who quietly became symbols of courage during a moment of national crisis.
