Crime – Teen Killed After Alleged Stabbing During Clash in South Delhi
Crime – A 17-year-old boy lost his life after he was allegedly stabbed during a violent confrontation in South Delhi’s Molarband locality under the Badarpur police station area. Police have detained three suspects in connection with the case, while search operations are continuing to locate others believed to have been involved in the incident.
Police Receive Information About the Incident
According to Delhi Police, the first information regarding the stabbing was received at around 8 p.m. on Sunday through DD No. 94A at Badarpur Police Station. Local beat officers informed the police control room about a violent assault that had taken place near Pandey Medical Store in Gali No. 4 on the 40-Foot Road in Molarband. Police teams immediately reached the location and began their initial investigation.
Meeting Allegedly Led to Violent Confrontation
During the preliminary inquiry, investigators found that the teenager, who lived in Molarband Extension, had allegedly been asked to come to the location by the brother of a girl with whom he was reportedly in a relationship. The victim arrived at the spot accompanied by three of his friends. Soon after, an argument reportedly broke out between the two groups, which quickly escalated into violence.
Police said the teenager was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon during the confrontation. He suffered multiple stab wounds, including serious injuries to his chest and abdomen.
Victim Succumbed During Medical Treatment
Following the assault, local residents, with the help of members of the public, rushed the injured teenager to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for emergency treatment. Doctors admitted him in critical condition and made efforts to save his life. However, despite medical intervention, he later died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The incident has shocked residents of the area, with many expressing concern over the violent nature of the attack involving teenagers.
Investigation Underway as Evidence Collected
After securing the crime scene, the Delhi Police Crime Team carried out a detailed inspection and gathered forensic and other evidence that could assist in identifying everyone involved. Investigators documented the scene and collected material considered important for the ongoing inquiry.
Police have registered a case under the relevant legal provisions and have formally launched a detailed investigation into the murder.
Three Suspects Detained, Search Continues
Officials confirmed that three accused have been apprehended in connection with the case. Meanwhile, several police teams have been deployed to conduct raids at different locations to trace the remaining suspects believed to have participated in the attack.
Investigators are examining witness statements, available evidence, and other leads to establish the exact sequence of events and determine the role of each individual involved in the incident.
Relationship Angle Being Examined
Police believe the confrontation may have been triggered by the victim’s reported relationship with a girl, although officers have stated that every possible angle is being investigated before reaching any final conclusion. Authorities have not ruled out additional factors that may have contributed to the incident.
