PoliticalSecurity – Patna police have initiated an investigation after Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav reported an alleged theft at his residence in the state capital. The complaint was formally registered after the politician claimed that cash and several personal items had gone missing from his home, prompting authorities to begin inquiries into the matter.
Police Begin Investigation
Officials confirmed that an FIR was lodged at the Sachivalaya police station following the complaint. A police team subsequently visited the residence to gather information and examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft. Investigators are currently collecting evidence and speaking with relevant individuals as part of the ongoing probe.
According to police sources, the complaint concerns the disappearance of money and personal belongings from the residence. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details regarding the value of the missing items or whether any suspects have been identified.
Earlier Complaint Raised Security Concerns
The theft investigation comes only days after Tej Pratap Yadav approached the Secretariat police station with a separate complaint involving alleged threats to his safety. In that complaint, he accused former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) student wing president Akash Yadav and seven others of being involved in a conspiracy aimed at harming him.
The JJD leader stated that the complaint had been officially recorded and that the names of the accused were included in the FIR. He also alleged that attempts had been made repeatedly to damage his public image and reputation.
Allegations of Threats and Conspiracy
Speaking to journalists after submitting the earlier complaint, Tej Pratap Yadav claimed he had received death threats and expressed concerns about his personal security. He alleged that the situation extended beyond individual disputes and could be linked to a broader political conspiracy.
Yadav further claimed that certain individuals had entered his residence without permission before leaving the premises when confronted. According to him, efforts were made to identify and stop those individuals, but they managed to escape before any action could be taken.
Demand for Enhanced Protection
Citing the recent incidents, Tej Pratap Yadav has urged authorities to provide immediate security arrangements. He said that a petition seeking protection has already been submitted before a court and stressed that the matter requires urgent attention from the administration.
The JJD leader maintained that the alleged intrusion at his residence, combined with the threats he claims to have received, has heightened concerns about his safety. He indicated that additional steps could be taken, including approaching senior government officials if necessary.
Authorities Continue Examination
Police officials have not commented on the allegations made against the individuals named in the earlier complaint. Investigators are expected to examine all claims separately and proceed according to the findings of their inquiry.
