SalmanKhan – Salman Khan Supports Mumbai Slum Rehabilitation Through Digital Governance Initiative
SalmanKhan – Bollywood actor Salman Khan visited the Mumbai office of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) on Friday evening, where he took part in a series of events highlighting the authority’s ongoing efforts to modernize public services and improve housing rehabilitation for eligible residents.

During the visit, Salman inaugurated the newly established Data Collection and Verification Support Centre, commonly referred to as the IT Server Room. The upgraded facility has been introduced to strengthen the SRA’s digital infrastructure, improve data management, and support faster, safer, and more transparent delivery of public services. Officials believe the new system will play an important role in expanding the authority’s e-governance capabilities.

According to the SRA, the advanced support centre has been designed to streamline verification processes and enhance the efficiency of rehabilitation-related operations. The digital infrastructure is expected to reduce administrative delays while improving security and accuracy in handling beneficiary information.

House Keys Distributed to Rehabilitation Beneficiaries
A major highlight of the event was the distribution of permanent house keys to more than 50 beneficiaries under the slum rehabilitation programme. In the presence of SRA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, Salman personally handed over the keys to families who have successfully completed the rehabilitation process.
The ceremony marked an important milestone for the recipients, many of whom expressed happiness as they prepared to move into their permanent homes.
