Bankipur Seat Vacant After Resignation

The Bankipur Assembly seat in Bihar fell vacant after sitting legislator Nitin Nabin resigned from the state Assembly on March 30, 2026. The upcoming by-election will decide his successor for the remaining term of the House.

The constituency is expected to draw attention from political parties as they prepare their candidates and campaign plans ahead of the vote.

Manjalpur By-Election Follows Legislator’s Death

In Gujarat, the Manjalpur constituency will go to the polls following the death of sitting MLA Yogeshbhai Narandas Patel on June 2, 2026. The vacancy was formally reported to the Election Commission, which has now initiated the process to elect a new representative.

The elected candidate will serve for the remainder of the current Assembly term. Political parties in the state are likely to begin finalising their nominees before the nomination deadline.

Datia Poll Ordered After Disqualification

The Datia Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh became vacant after Rajendra Bharti was disqualified on April 2, 2026. The Election Commission said the action was taken under Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, along with Article 191(1)(e) of the Constitution.

The by-election will fill the vacancy created after the disqualification and restore representation for voters in the constituency.

Official Notifications Published

The respective state governments have published the Election Commission’s notification in their extraordinary gazettes. The publication formally informs voters, political parties and other stakeholders about the election timetable and the procedures to be followed.

With the nomination process beginning shortly, parties are expected to intensify consultations over candidate selection and campaign strategies. The results of the three by-elections will be declared after the completion of voting and counting procedures as directed by the Election Commission.
