Park Built Near Kali Ghat

The new park has been developed by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. It has been designed as a public space that highlights the contributions and ideas associated with the three leaders.

Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani said the project aims to introduce younger generations to values linked with national service, cultural nationalism, social harmony and public welfare. The civic body has included landscaped gardens, walking paths, decorative lighting, seating areas and sanitation facilities around the statue complex.

Ekta Boat Race Planned on Yamuna

The Chief Minister will also flag off the Ekta Boat Race from the Yamuna riverfront. The event is being held in remembrance of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and is expected to feature more than two dozen boats.

Officials said the race is part of the wider public programme planned around the inauguration. Adityanath is also expected to address a gathering at Prerna Park after the launch events.

Review of Major Development Works

Following the public program, the Chief Minister will visit the auditorium of the Prayagraj Mela Authority at Parade Ground. There, he is expected to review 1,553 development works being carried out by the Public Works Department and other government agencies in the Prayagraj Zone.

The projects under review are valued at more than Rs 2,500 crore. The meeting will focus on the progress of ongoing infrastructure schemes and coordination among departments responsible for their execution.

Focus on Riverfront Improvement

The visit comes as the Uttar Pradesh government continues work to improve the appearance and facilities of ghats along the Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj. Riverbank beautification, civic amenities and improved public access are among the areas receiving attention under the ongoing development plans.

Prerna Park is expected to become part of the city’s expanding network of public spaces near the river. With its memorial statues, landscaped setting and visitor facilities, the park has been positioned as a place for residents and visitors to learn about the public life and ideas of Dr Mukherjee, Vajpayee and Singhal.

The Chief Minister’s itinerary combines the park inauguration, the Ekta Boat Race, a public address and a review of regional development projects. The programme is expected to bring together local representatives, officials and residents at different venues across Prayagraj.
