Kuppam – Naidu to Launch Industrial Projects Worth Rs 3,847 Crore
Kuppam – Regional development initiatives in Kuppam are set to receive fresh attention as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu begins a three-day visit to the constituency from July 3 to July 5. The tour will include industrial launches, public infrastructure programmes, meetings with party workers and interactions with local representatives across several mandals.

Industrial Growth Plans for Kuppam –
A key part of the Chief Minister’s schedule is the launch of the Kuppam Industrial Cluster. During the visit, he is expected to lay foundation stones for 12 proposed industrial units that together are estimated to bring investments of about Rs 3,847 crore to the region.
The proposed projects are expected to strengthen industrial activity in and around Kuppam, while creating employment opportunities for local residents. Officials have indicated that the industrial cluster is being developed to improve the area’s infrastructure and support new manufacturing and business activity.
Tour Covers Four Mandals –
Naidu is scheduled to travel through Kuppam, Ramakuppam, Shanthipuram and Gudipalli mandals during the three-day programme. He will meet party leaders, grassroots workers and elected representatives to review local issues and organisational activities.
District officials have completed arrangements for the visit. Chittoor District Collector Sumit Kumar, Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi and senior officials from different departments have been overseeing security, traffic management and venue preparations.
Infrastructure Projects on First Day –
On July 3, the Chief Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone for a modern RTC bus station in Kuppam. The proposed facility is estimated to cost Rs 117.5 crore and is intended to improve public transport services for passengers travelling within the constituency and to nearby areas.
He will also inaugurate an LPG crematorium and a Panchayat Food Court. In addition, a CT scan facility at Kuppam Government Hospital is scheduled to be opened during the programme. The new medical service is expected to support diagnostic facilities for patients in the constituency.
Land Pattas for Eligible Farmers –
Distribution of DKT land pattas is another major event planned during the visit. Around 529 acres of DKT land pattas are expected to be handed over to eligible farmers in the Kangundhi area.
The pattas are intended to provide eligible beneficiaries with formal land rights, helping them access government support and undertake agricultural activities with greater security. Local officials are expected to coordinate the distribution process during the Chief Minister’s visit.
Party Meetings and Public Outreach –
Along with government programmes, Naidu will take part in party meetings and review the functioning of the Telugu Desam Party at the constituency level. He is likely to hold discussions with local leaders and party workers on organisational matters and upcoming activities.
Two public meetings have also been planned as part of the tour. These gatherings are expected to provide an opportunity for the Chief Minister to address residents and outline the government’s development priorities for Kuppam.
The visit comes shortly after Kancharla Srikanth was removed from the post of TDP constituency in-charge for Kuppam. Party leaders and workers are expected to attend the scheduled meetings as the organisation reviews its local structure.
