Infrastructure – Tripura Highlights Development Gains Under Modi’s HIRA Vision
Infrastructure – Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he described as the transformative impact of the HIRA development model, saying the initiative has played a key role in improving infrastructure and connectivity across Tripura and the wider Northeast region.

The Chief Minister shared his remarks on social media on Wednesday, expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister’s leadership and long-term development approach. According to Saha, the HIRA model has helped accelerate progress in Tripura by improving transportation networks and creating new opportunities for economic growth.
Focus on Connectivity and Regional Development
Saha stated that Tripura has witnessed significant changes in recent years, moving beyond the limitations traditionally associated with its geographical location. He noted that investments in modern infrastructure and improved connectivity have strengthened the state’s links with neighboring regions and expanded its role in regional trade and development.

With 4,399 days in office, he surpassed the tenure record previously held by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.
