Emergency Teams Responded Swiftly
According to the Chief Minister, multiple emergency agencies were activated immediately after authorities received information about the incident. Personnel from the Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), and CATS Ambulance Services reached the location without delay and began rescue operations.
The coordinated efforts of these teams helped evacuate several people from the building and ensured that emergency relief measures were carried out as quickly as possible. Officials continued operations at the site while monitoring the situation closely.

Investigation Into Building Compliance Begins
Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood visited the location to assess the situation and oversee the initial stages of the investigation. He said officials have started collecting records and documents connected to the building.
The inquiry will examine whether the property possessed the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC), whether it was legally permitted to function as a hotel or restaurant, and whether the number of rooms being operated complied with approved limits for a bed-and-breakfast establishment.
Authorities are expected to scrutinize all relevant permissions and operational records as part of the investigation.
Owner Detained, Accountability Promised
Sood stated that strict action would be taken against anyone found responsible for lapses that may have contributed to the incident. He assured that individuals whose negligence played a role in the tragedy would face legal consequences.
Later in the day, officials confirmed that the building owner had been taken into custody. Investigators are expected to continue examining the circumstances surrounding the fire and determine whether any safety violations were involved.
Citywide Inspection Drive Announced
In response to the incident, the Home Minister directed concerned departments to carry out inspections of buildings across the city. He said authorities have been instructed to identify establishments that fail to meet required safety standards.
Any property found operating in violation of fire safety regulations or other mandatory norms will face immediate action, including possible sealing by authorities. The inspection campaign is intended to identify risks and strengthen enforcement of existing safety rules.
Local Representatives Joined Relief Efforts
Local MLA Satish Upadhyay, who was present at the scene, said the immediate priority was to activate disaster management procedures and coordinate emergency response efforts. He highlighted the importance of rapid action in managing the crisis and supporting rescue operations.
