Unidentified Victims Await Family Confirmation

Hospital officials stated that the identities of the deceased had not been established by Wednesday evening because no relatives had arrived to verify them. Medical sources indicated that additional bodies could be transferred to AIIMS from another healthcare facility in the Saket area as investigations and identification procedures continue.

Injured Patients Receive Medical Care

Among the people admitted to the trauma centre, three suffered injuries after jumping from the building in an attempt to escape the flames. Doctors reported that two of those patients chose to leave the hospital after receiving initial treatment despite medical advice to remain under observation. Hospital authorities noted that both individuals were in stable condition when they were discharged.

Woman Remains Critical Following Emergency Surgery

The third patient from the same group, a woman who sustained a serious head injury during her escape from the building, underwent emergency surgery. Medical staff described her condition as critical and said she continues to receive intensive care and monitoring.

Families Wait for News Outside Hospital

Outside the emergency ward of the AIIMS Trauma Centre, concerned relatives gathered throughout the day seeking updates about missing family members. Many were struggling to establish contact with loved ones believed to have been staying at the property when the fire broke out.

One visitor, Yogesh, said several members of his extended family had been residing at the guesthouse while visiting Delhi for medical treatment. According to him, his maternal aunt, her husband, and two other relatives had checked into the property but had not been contacted since the morning. The uncertainty surrounding their whereabouts added to the distress experienced by waiting family members.

Concerns Grow Over Missing Relatives

Yogesh further explained that five members of his family were staying in the building at the time of the incident. He also expressed concern for another relative from Gurugram who had reportedly visited the property to meet family members. The family fears that he may have been inside the building when the fire spread.

Police Personnel Injured During Rescue Efforts

Hospital authorities confirmed that the remaining injured patients were Delhi Police personnel who sustained injuries while assisting in rescue operations. Officials said all of them are stable and remain under medical observation. Most are expected to be discharged once routine evaluations are completed.

Eyewitnesses Describe Conditions at the Property

Residents who witnessed the incident said that many of those affected appeared to be guests staying at the accommodation facility. Arman Ansari, a local resident who participated in rescue efforts, claimed that the building included several rooms in its basement area. Investigators are expected to examine the structure as part of the inquiry into the cause of the fire and the circumstances that contributed to the loss of life.

As authorities continue rescue assessments and identification procedures, families remain hopeful for information about missing relatives while officials work to determine the full extent of the tragedy.
