Cinema – The production of director Vishnu Sasi Shankar’s upcoming film “Tat Twam Assi” has officially commenced, marking the beginning of a project that combines spirituality, faith, emotion, and action within a commercial cinematic format.

Grand Launch Ceremony Held for the Film
The makers recently conducted the formal launch ceremony of the movie in a traditional and spiritual atmosphere. Filmmakers and industry personalities attended the event to extend their support to the team. Director Venkat Prabhu delivered the inaugural clap for the first shot, while director Ponram switched on the camera during the ceremony.
The launch event reflected the devotional theme of the project and created strong interest among cinema audiences who have been following updates about the film since its announcement.
Vishnu Sasi Shankar Returns After ‘Malikappuram’
Director Vishnu Sasi Shankar, who gained wide recognition through the Malayalam blockbuster “Malikappuram,” is directing the film. His earlier work received appreciation for presenting spirituality and emotional storytelling in a relatable manner, and similar expectations are now surrounding “Tat Twam Assi.”
Industry circles believe the director’s experience in handling devotional narratives with emotional depth could become one of the biggest strengths of the upcoming movie.
Three Months of Pre-Production Completed
According to the production team, the film’s planning work started on February 26. Within a period of three months, the crew completed script discussions, location arrangements, technical preparations, and scheduling before beginning principal photography.
The smooth transition from pre-production to shooting has been viewed as a sign of careful coordination and disciplined execution by the filmmakers. The team reportedly focused on completing every stage of preparation before taking the project onto the shooting floor.
Cast Includes Vaibhav and Meenakshi Govindarajan
Actor Vaibhav plays the lead role in the film alongside actress Meenakshi Govindarajan. The supporting cast features several noted performers, including Aravind Akash and Aadukalam Naren, who are expected to portray important characters connected to the story’s spiritual and emotional backdrop.
While the core theme revolves around devotion and faith, the screenplay also incorporates action sequences, emotional conflicts, and commercial entertainment elements aimed at attracting a wider audience base.
Story Designed for Family and Youth Audiences
Sources associated with the project suggest that the screenplay has been structured to appeal to both family viewers and younger audiences. The film is being produced under the Tantra Films banner by JK Saravana and JK Shatesh. On the technical side, music composer Premgi Amaren has been brought onboard to handle the soundtrack and background score.
Cinematography for the project is being managed by Yuvan Selva, while editing responsibilities have been assigned to Praveen KL. The film’s art direction is led by Surya Rajeevan, and stunt choreography is being overseen by Sakthi Saravanan.
The story and screenplay have been developed by writers Adithya Tangirala, Nanthakumar Thamichelvan, and Prithivi Adithya.
Release Planned During Ayyappa Mandala Season
Reports indicate that the producers are targeting a release during this year’s Ayyappa Mandala season, a period closely associated with devotional significance. Because of its combination of spirituality and commercial cinema elements, the film is already generating notable curiosity among audiences.
Meanwhile, Tantra Films is also continuing work on another ambitious project titled “Arya Kerala Varman,” which is said to be based on a historical and spiritual setting.
