PoliceTransfers – Rajasthan Police Department Sees Major Administrative Overhaul

PoliceTransfers –  The Rajasthan government has introduced a wide-ranging reshuffle in the state police administration, transferring 17 Indian Police Service officers and appointing new Superintendents of Police in several districts. The changes, announced late Tuesday night, are being viewed as part of a broader effort to reorganize administrative responsibilities across key police units in the state.

Seven Districts Receive New Police Chiefs

The transfer orders have affected multiple districts, including Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Didwana-Kuchaman, Nagaur, Tonk, Bharatpur, and Dausa. Officials said the reshuffle aims to strengthen law enforcement management and streamline operational responsibilities within the department.

Among the key appointments, senior IPS officer Harendra Kumar Mahawar has been named Inspector General of the Kota Range. The position had remained vacant for some time. Meanwhile, Manish Tripathi has been moved from his role as Superintendent of Police in Chittorgarh to Superintendent of Police in the Anti-Terrorism Squad unit in Jaipur.

Dharmendra Singh, who was earlier handling responsibilities in Bhilwara, will now serve as the SP of Chittorgarh. Sagar, previously posted in Dausa, has been assigned as the new police chief of Bhilwara.

Changes in ATS and RAC appointments

The state government has also made notable changes in specialized units. Gyan Chandra Yadav, who was serving with the Anti-Terrorism Squad, has been appointed Superintendent of Police for the Didwana-Kuchaman district.

Richa Tomar, who previously held the same post, has been transferred to Delhi as Commandant of the 11th Battalion of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary. Officials indicated that the move is part of routine administrative adjustments within the police setup.

Rajesh Kumar Meena has been shifted from Tonk to Bharatpur as Superintendent of Police, while Roshan Meena has been transferred from Nagaur to Tonk in a corresponding administrative change.

Dausa and Jaipur Receive Fresh Appointments

Piyush Dixit, who had recently been posted with the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Jaipur, has now been appointed Superintendent of Police in Dausa. His latest transfer comes within a short period after his earlier assignment in March this year.

Senior officer Lata Manoj Kumar has also received a revised role. She has been transferred from the position of additional director general overseeing civil rights, anti-human trafficking, and community policing to the post of ADG for community policing and public grievances.

Another significant appointment includes K.B. Vandana, who returned from central deputation in April and has now been posted as inspector general of the CID Crime Branch in Jaipur.

Senior-Level Administrative Restructuring

The reshuffle has extended to several senior-level positions in Jaipur and other divisions. Param Jyoti has been transferred from the post of IG Crime at police headquarters to IG RAC in Jaipur. At the same time, Kaluram Rawat has been assigned charge of the telecommunications wing after serving in civil rights and anti-human trafficking.

Officials noted that some officers have experienced multiple transfers within a relatively short duration. Harendra Kumar Mahawar and Kaluram Rawat had both been reassigned earlier this year before receiving fresh postings in the latest order.

Shweta Dhankhar has now been appointed Deputy Inspector General of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary in Jaipur after serving as DIG Civil Rights at the Police Headquarters.

Additional Responsibility Assigned to Senior Officer

Further administrative changes include the transfer of Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav from DIG Anti-Corruption Bureau in Bikaner to DIG Special Operations Group in Jaipur. Gordhan Lal Saunkariya has been moved from Police Headquarters to the Anti-Corruption Bureau as Superintendent of Police in Jaipur.

Ashima Vaswani has also been reassigned from SP Mavli to Additional Superintendent of Police for Bharatpur City.

In another development, Additional Director General Hawa Singh Ghumaria has been given additional responsibility for the Civil Rights and Anti-Human Trafficking division alongside his existing duties at police headquarters.
