JudicialCase – The death of a 30-year-old Delhi Judicial Services officer at his residence in Safdarjung has taken a serious turn after his family publicly accused his wife and in-laws of contributing to the circumstances that led to the incident. The case has now become the subject of a police investigation involving charges linked to alleged abetment to suicide and criminal conspiracy.

Father Questions Circumstances Behind Incident

Days after Delhi Police registered a case in connection with the death of judicial officer Aman Kumar Sharma, his father, Prem Kumar Sharma, addressed the media in Rajasthan’s Alwar district and expressed doubts over the events surrounding his son’s death.

According to the family, Aman had reportedly been facing emotional distress in the days before the incident. His father alleged that the officer had spoken about ongoing tension and harassment involving his wife Swati, who also serves in the judiciary, along with her sister.

Prem Kumar Sharma further claimed that despite being aware of Aman’s mental condition, his daughter-in-law did not take any action to prevent the situation from escalating. He questioned why no immediate help or warning was given even though, according to him, there were visible signs of emotional strain.

Details Shared About Night of the Incident

While speaking to reporters, the deceased officer’s father described what he claimed had happened on the night of the incident. He alleged that a heated disagreement took place between Aman and his wife inside the house before the situation turned tragic.

According to his account, Aman allegedly entered the bathroom after taking a scarf during the argument and locked the door from the inside. He stated that Swati’s sister and uncle were also present at the residence at the time. The family further claimed that neighbours, who reportedly heard the disturbance, later forced the bathroom door open and found Aman hanging inside.

The father also alleged that he does not believe the case to be a suicide and instead described it as suspicious. However, investigators have not publicly confirmed any conclusions, and the inquiry remains ongoing.

Police Investigation Underway

Delhi Police have registered an FIR at Safdarjung Enclave police station following a complaint submitted by the deceased officer’s father. The case has been filed under provisions related to abetment to suicide and criminal conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Officials have not yet released detailed findings from the investigation. Authorities are expected to examine statements, forensic evidence, and the sequence of events leading up to the death as part of the inquiry process.

Couple Were Members of Judicial Service

Aman Kumar Sharma and his wife Swati were both associated with the judicial service and had married in 2022. The couple had two young children, including an infant and a toddler.

The incident has triggered discussions within legal circles and among the public due to the professional background of the couple and the serious allegations now under investigation. At present, police have not announced any arrests or additional legal action connected to the matter.
