On Sunday morning, Union Minister of State and East Delhi Member of Parliament Harsh Malhotra, along with Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other party representatives, reached the site to meet families impacted by the incident.

Leaders Meet Affected Families on Ground

During their visit, the leaders interacted with three families who suffered losses in the fire. They listened to their concerns and offered words of comfort during what has been described as a deeply distressing time. The leaders assured the families that assistance would be provided and that their situation would not be overlooked.

Harsh Malhotra described the incident as heartbreaking and expressed his condolences to those who lost their belongings or faced injuries. He emphasized the importance of community support during such crises and reiterated that necessary help would be extended to those in need.

Injured Patient Shifted for Advanced Treatment

Apart from visiting the site, Malhotra also went to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where one of the injured individuals was undergoing treatment. After speaking with the attending doctors and reviewing the patient’s condition, he arranged for the individual to be moved to a specialized trauma centre to ensure improved medical care.

This step was taken to provide better facilities and close monitoring, reflecting the seriousness of the injuries sustained during the fire. Medical teams have been instructed to prioritize the patient’s recovery and ensure that all necessary treatment is provided without delay.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva highlighted that local MLA Sanjay Goel was among the first to reach the scene after receiving information about the fire. He reportedly arrived within minutes and remained present throughout the rescue operations.

According to Sachdeva, coordinated efforts between political representatives and emergency teams contributed to saving approximately 18 to 20 people. The presence of local leadership also helped streamline communication and support for affected residents during the chaotic situation.
