Court Proceedings and Custody Decision

During the hearing, the magistrate placed the accused in police custody for four days, allowing investigators time to verify key aspects of the case. Authorities informed the court that further questioning was necessary to recover the victim’s mobile phone, trace the suspect’s movements before and after the incident, and determine whether anyone else may have been involved.

Although the accused admitted guilt in court, legal procedures require that such a confession be formally recorded under proper conditions to ensure it was made voluntarily and without pressure. Only then can it be considered valid evidence during trial proceedings.

Details of the Crime and Alleged Motive

According to investigators, the accused claimed that his primary intention was robbery. He reportedly targeted the victim’s home to access money and valuables, allegedly driven by financial distress. During questioning, he stated that he attacked the victim after she refused to hand over keys to a locker.

Police sources indicated that the crime escalated during the robbery attempt. The victim was first assaulted and later killed. Investigators believe that the violence was linked to the suspect’s attempt to complete the theft rather than a pre-planned intention to commit murder.

Reconstruction of Events

Initial findings suggest that the accused acted alone. Authorities are now working to reconstruct the entire sequence of events. Evidence indicates that the victim was attacked with a heavy object, leaving her critically injured. She was then moved within the house, and the accused allegedly tried to access a locker using her fingerprint.

When that failed, he reportedly forced open the locker and stole cash along with jewellery worth several lakhs. After the incident, he changed his clothes to remove traces of blood and fled the scene.

Escape Route and Arrest

Investigators have mapped the suspect’s escape route, which reportedly took him through multiple locations in the city. After leaving Kailash Hills, he moved towards a nearby park and later reached a commercial area, from where he hired transport to travel further.

He eventually took shelter in a hotel in Dwarka, where he is believed to have stayed while planning his next steps. Police tracked him using digital evidence, including mobile data and internet activity, leading to his arrest later the same day.

Background and Financial Pressure

During interrogation, it emerged that the accused was dealing with significant financial liabilities. Police suspect that debts linked to online gaming may have played a role in motivating the crime. He was reportedly under financial pressure amounting to several lakhs of rupees.

Investigators also revealed that the accused had brought multiple mobile phones with him and sold some of them prior to the incident. These details are now part of the ongoing probe as authorities attempt to establish a clearer timeline and intent.

Ongoing Investigation

Police officials have stated that all claims made by the accused will be thoroughly verified. The investigation is focusing on confirming the robbery motive, examining forensic evidence, and ensuring that no aspect of the case is overlooked.

Authorities are also examining whether the accused had any prior criminal involvement, as part of a broader effort to understand his actions and background. The case continues to be treated as highly serious, with further developments expected after detailed interrogation and forensic analysis.
